My eyes opened to a sea of swirling emotions. The blue was a soothing medicine for the blissful cramp in my lower body parts, while the green was a reminder of it. The two together created a feeling that made me want to throw up with excitement.
"Good morning."
Oh dear lord, his tired voice almost shoved me over the edge of the cliff of love. I shifted, feeling a soreness on my hips, and gave a smile. My hand tucked a loose strand of his black hair out of his face.
"Hi."
Mason's lips perked up in a toothless smile, his hand blistering my arm as he rubbed it. "How are you this morning?"
"A lot of things," I played, "and sore is definitely one of them."
Mason chuckled, rolling over onto his stomach next to me. I draped my arm over his back, drawing my bare chest to the middle of his back. Tentatively, I pecked kisses up his muscular shoulder, making him hum in relaxation.
"What time is it?"
I glanced to the alarm clock on the bedside table. "Noon."
Mason shifted. "Damn."
"Sleepy head," I rubbed his head.
Mason rolled underneath me, bare chest meeting mine as he pulled me over him. "I'm pretty sure you were asleep too."
"I know," I smirked, running my hands up the waves of muscle on his chest. "Seriously, we should get up."
Mason clutched my arms as I tried to slide off of him. "No, stay here."
"Mason," I looked at him as he kissed each of my hands. "There's always tonight."
Mason pouted. "I don't think I could wait that long."
"Well you're going to," I leaned down and kissed his lips.
As I tilted my head, I felt his fingers brush against my other lips. I let out a gasp and quickly pulled away. Mason only smirked, watching as I walked into the bathroom.
"Get out of my quarters, you pervert!"
Laughter only filled the room behind me as I turned on the water for another shower.

"Hello, Mason," I spoke casually as I met up with him in center of one of the main hallways.
Mason grinned. "Good afternoon, Miss Reeves."
I cleared my throat, lowering my voice so no one nearby could hear. "Let's keep what happened between us for now, okay?"
Mason looked like he wanted to question my wish, but instead he only nodded. His hands touched mine and I glanced downwards.
"Is it because of Felix?"
I stepped past him and started off down the hallway. "Yes."
I already knew that the thoughts of Felix and I having intimate feelings for each other had crossed Mason's mind. Last night for sure had brushed off any of those feelings from my shoulder. Sure, I had at one point thought Felix was more than charming- he wasn't exactly the ugliest man ever- but that was gone now. I saw him as a best friend, the brother of my lover.
"You know I don't think of him like that. Whether you trust me in that aspect or not."
Mason released a deep breath he'd been holding. "I know and I do trust you. It's him I don't trust. He's been raised by Menendez, who I couldn't imagine as being the best father."
