Alright everyone, this it....the LAST chapter in Fallen Angel. No, there will not be a sequel, I'm sorry, but you'll see why.
It's been a fun time writing this story, as long as it took me to finish it, and I'll miss these updates forever (even though this book did have its terrible moments and chapters). However, this book's time is up and I need to get it done so that I can continue NEW books coming soon on my Wattpad account.
Thank you all so much for your support! Go read my Oneshots book if you miss Mason and other Black Ops characters too much (requests are available)!
I love you guys/gals so much!!! So much I stayed up past my bedtime on a school night to write this for you! :)

The building looked so much smaller from the outside.
I was struggling to make it to the higher floors- the location of Menendez's last known whereabouts- however I pushed on for the sake of completing a much-needed mission. I would not fail everyone who loved me this time. I would not let my father live to see the next day.
As I climbed the stairs, I expected the building to rock like the last few I'd been in had. The structure was solid and untouched, vibrating only to the nearby explosions. Just the fact that the building wasn't coming undone beneath me was a good sign.
I was one step closer to ending this.
"Hey!" two soldiers whipped out their guns as I rounded a corner on the sixth floor.
Without giving them a chance to fight, I shot the three-round burst weapon in my arms. The impact immobilized the two soldiers, dropping them to the ground instantaneously. I pushed past them and narrowly avoided kicking the smaller lifeless man on the hand.
"Emma!"
I spun around, facing Mason and Felix. The two were shooting off bullets to enemies that had followed them. I glared at Mason.
"You're not stopping what you want me to-"
"Of course not!" Mason stepped beside me, crouching the two of us behind cover.
I studied his green and blue eyes. They snapped away from the fight to calmly examine my filthy face as well. Mason's hand touched my wrist.
"Don't make him suffer. I know it sounds weird coming from a tough soldier like me," Mason huffed in amusement, "but trust me when I say that man has suffered enough."
I sighed and blew loose strands from my ponytail away from my face. Mason touched my cheeks.
"I need you to be careful, Emma. I love you."
"I love you too," I gently kissed him.
It was a weird feeling....that kiss. It felt like either the first one in a long time or the last one for even longer, but I couldn't tell which. The thought of losing Mason in battle made mr kiss harder for just the end.
"Now go," Mason hissed, whipping his gun out.
I sprinted away from the action, glancing over my shoulder at Felix. His grey eyes followed my path and then returned to me. He gave me a small nod and lipped the words "see you later." I returned his words with a slight smile.
My footsteps were louder than the echos of the gunfire as I traveled up the metal stairs. As the shots became quieter, I slowed. However, I didn't stop for a moment- it was too costly.
"Where the hell are you Menendez?" I hissed loud enough for anyone on the next three floors to hear.
I came to an abrupt stop on the eighth floor, glaring around for the enemy. A shadow to the left caught my attention and I snapped to it.
