I open my eyes to see everyone staring wide eyed at me. I smile down at the flower that I just helped grow. Then as if coming out of a dream I hear everyone start talking all at once.

"Please can we talk one at a time?" I ask starting to feel a sharp pain in the centre of my head.

"When did this start happening?" Ian asks me.

"Just now on the picnic," I tell him. "I was thinking about how nice it would be if the flowers were in bloom, when all of a sudden I felt a tug in my stomach and everyone gasped. I looked around to see what they were looking at and seen the flowers. I tried again to see if I could do it a second time and it worked and then we came straight here to see you," I say feeling that an explanation is due.

Just then I feel a splitting pain go through my head that is so painful I fall to my knees, screaming in pain. I hear feet rushes around and then I feel someone put their hands on me and the pain of the headache disappears. I look to see who has their hands on my shoulders and see that it is Zach, with a look of utter concern.

"Are you alright?" Zach asks.

"I think it was the energy to grow the plants, it took what was left of my energy," I say and feeling the eyes of the others on me I rush to explain. "I haven't fed properly in the last two weeks and I haven't been able to eat today."

"Well make sure you find tonight," Ian reprimands me.

"I will," I tell him. "I promise," I say when he gives me a stern look.

"We need to get her into specialized nature classes, so that she can learn to control it," Amara says looking at Ian.

"I'll set up lessons with Lady Allysandra right away, so that she can learn to control," Ian says to Amara before turning to me. "Kayla, you do know what it means that you have specialised in nature?"

"Yes, Mum taught me what each of the Powers does when I was young," I say deciding to explain each of them. "Healing means that I can heal minor injuries such as scratches and cuts and I can also speed the process of healing broken bones. Nature means that I can control the elements: fire, water, air and earth. Protection means that someone can make a shield between the attacker and the attacked, it also means that the have an arsenal of defensive and offensive moves that help them protect someone and it also means that they have the ability to learn defensive very easily and that they have the instincts to tell what their opponents next move will be before they make it, they can also do spells of secrecy and protection."

"That's very true," Ian says, "And is easily the best description of our powers yet. I'll make that appointment for you. It will be very beneficial in the end."

"Thank you, I would really appreciate that," I say with a polite nod of the head.

"Ian, we have an appointment for Kayla to attend today," Zach says pointedly.

"Right. Kayla, you better head out, Mrs. Donovan wants to see you in the Council's dress store," Ian says. "Isabella will show you the way there. She is waiting for you outside. Mrs. Donovan has a room that the owner of the dress store lets her use when she is at Council."

"Okay," I say and head out to the hall.

When I reach the hall I see Izzy and she tells me that we are in a rush and heads off in the direction of the building where we need to go.

"Kayla, how are you?" Kate greets me when we arrive in the store.

"I'm good, Kate," I greet her. "I hear that you want to start making my dress."

"Yes, we need to get started on that and the sooner the better," Kate says eagerly. "However Josh you have to go you can't be here."

Josh gives me a peck on the cheek and tells me that he'll see me later before he heads out to go hang out with some of his friends. When he is gone Kate leads Izzy and I through the back to the room that she is using.

Kate pulls out a couple of design books and shows them to me. "You get to pick everything about the design this time," Kate says as I start flipping through the books.

I flip through them until I find a floor length, strapless sweetheart, off the shoulder mermaid style formal gown with a small bead embellishment on the front near the waist. I fall in love with it instantly.

"Can I get this one in silver please?" I ask showing Kate the picture of the one I want.

"Sure," Kate says cheerfully. "It's a beautiful design, beautiful fabric and a nice choice of colour, it'll compliment your skin tone perfectly."

Kate shows me a couple of different silver tulle fabrics and I pick out a lovely shimmery silver tulle. Once we have the fabric picked out Kate takes my measurements before politely shooing us out so that she could get started on making the dress. Isabella leads me back towards the meeting hall so that I can show the other royals a picture of the dress I have picked and get Ian's approval. When we arrive at the meeting hall everyone is deciding on whether to hold the reception in either the ballroom in the event building or in the King's ballroom in his palace.

"I think it should be in the King's ballroom since I'm sure you have already decided to hold the bond ceremony in the main Council hall since that is where every other ceremony is held," I say voicing my opinion.

"Yes, that is true it will be held in the main Council hall," Ian says with a look of surprise. "How do you know that?"

"I had a look at where ceremonies are held in Council," I say and feel my face flush.

"That's pretty smart," Ian compliments me. "Did you pick out a dress?"

"Yeah," I say handing him the picture demurely hoping that he will like it as much as I do.

"This is beautiful. What colour did you pick?" Ian asks me with a bright smile that lights up his face.

"I picked a shimmery silver," I say quietly.

"I think that it will look lovely. I approve," Ian says with a sweet smile as he hands the picture back to me.

"Kayla," Zach says wanting my attention. "May I have a look?" he asks when I look at him.

"Sure, I say handing him the picture.

"That is very pretty," Zach says as he hands me the picture back.

"What time is dinner tonight?" I ask Ian politely.

"You'll be having dinner with us tonight Kayla," Zach tells me politely while looking at his watch. "We should probably go Leo will have dinner ready for us."

"That's fine you can go," Ian says politely.

We slowly make our way over to the house and I look at the sky and see that it is cloudy. When we reach the house I slow down and look at the garden that I didn't get to look at early in the day. For the first time I see the full size of the garden and I see that there is a large variety of garden.

"Zach, do you mind if I stay out here for a couple of minutes?" I ask politely wanting to see the flowers.

"Sure I will call out when you have to come in," he says before heading inside.

I slowly wander around the garden and see the flowers, I notice that they are organised, I see a section that has a mix of easy care roses in white, pink, pink splash and red, I also see a variety of English roses, Freesia and Chicago peace. In the next section I see Dianthus' in Rebekah, sugar plum, romance. The next section I come upon has mixed Petunias, Pink Scabiosa Columbaria, Sunflowers, mixed Apache and red Begonias. Another one has Anemone in the varieties of Rubra, Little Princess, single pinks, purple and white. Walking down the path to head inside I see Aquilegia 'Crimson Star', Aquilegia 'Crystal Star', Aquilegia 'Goldfinch' Yellow Granny's Bonnet, Dianthus 'Doris', Shasta Daisy, Salvia Microphylla 'Huntington', Arctortis 'Red', Viola 'Sawyers Black', Campanula Medium 'Pink Bells' and Penstemon 'Firebird' all mixed in among other flowers. Hanging in pots on either side of the door is Dichondra 'Silver Falls' with their leaves falling over the sides of the pots and they look so gorgeous. I enter to see Josh just reaching up to open the door.

"Dinner's ready," Josh tells me, grabbing my hand and pulling me inside.
