I went through the whole day trying to not cry. Zach picked me up from school and dropped me off my house to get ready. I kissed his cheek and got out of the car. I spent a good 30 minutes crying and then I got dressed. At 7:30 Zach came and got me. He took me to some abandoned warehouse. We walked in hands in hands. I saw my girls and the guys. We walked over there and we danced and at one point Robert took Zach and told him I knew why we were here.
"Nessa can I talk to you?" Zach asked
He pulled me to somewhere more quieted.
"Who told you?" He asked
"Told me what?"
"Told you the reason for this party?"
"Caitlyn..."
"What did she say?"
"That you were going to college and leaving me."
Zach's eyes fell and when he finally looked back at me guilt was washing over his eyes. They looked sad and just as he was about to say something Robert was calling him to the stage.
"I'm sorry babe." Zach said as he kissed my head.
I sighed and walked over to my girls who just hugged me. I saw Jake and Caitlyn. Jake smiled and waved and Caitlyn copied him but I knew it was fake.
"As you all know my boy Zach has finally got accepted into college." Robert said.
People were cheering and I know I should be happy because I mean come on he is going to college but I am just so sad. To think that I was finally going to have my relationship with Zach and then this happened.
"And because the college is Zach's dream school we decided to have a celebration for him. But first the main man would like to say some words."
Robert handed the microphone to Zach.
"Uh well this party isn't just about me. This is also about my beautiful girlfriend Vanessa Styles. She means the world to me and I know that her going to college somewhere else may be challenging for our relationship but no matter what Nessa I will always be here for you. You will always be very special to me. You are my world. And I love you. Yes love. Everyday since the day I met you I knew I loved you. All the challenges we've faced and are going to face in the future will only make our relationship stronger. No matter what, no matter what anybody says I promise I will always talk to you and be here for you. Please never leave me. I love you Vanessa."
The room got deadly silent minus my heart beating 20 mph. Did he just say he loves me? Zach loves me? He loves me? Everybody was looking towards me and then made a path for me. I just looked at Zach who looked so scared. He was wanting me to say something back. What could I say? Do I love Zach back? I walked to the stage and then looked at Zach in the face. He was so scared and worried.
"Zach I-"
"YOU CAN'T LOVE HER!!!" Some random girl shouted.
Um excuse honey he does.
"Who are you even?" I asked
"I am Zach's ex girlfriend Michelle."
You're what?
"I'm sorry who even invited you?" Lilly said
"Haha actually Zach did." Michelle said
What.
Zach grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. I just looked down at our hands and then at him, he looked sad, angry, mad, every emotion but happy.
"Yes I did invite you Michelle but you knew I was dating Vanessa and you knew how I felt about her and I told you if you weren't okay with it then don't even come." Zach said
My breath returned to normal he really does love me. And I do love him back no matter what. Michelle got mad and ran out of the house and left.
"Zach like I was saying I love you too." I say grabbing his face and kissing him. This kiss was different then our other kisses and it was more special. Our friends were all awing and it was just special like nothing in this world is wrong.
"Let's dance!" Robert says and "Banga! Banga!" By Austin started playing. The rest of the night was great. I was literally dreading having to wake up tomorrow. But I knew this was going to happen eventually. The night ended and Zach took me back to my house.
"Zach." I said
"Yes babe?" He replied
"Will you stay the night with me tonight?"
"Of course." He smiled and kissed my head.
He opened my door for me and helped me out. We went home and into my room. I left the door open so my mom knew we weren't going to do anything. I almost collapsed right then and there but I remained standing. I grabbed the shirt Zach gave to me to sleep in when we first met. I put it on and then I put on some shorts and fell into bed. Zach took his shirt and pants off (so he was only wearing his boxers) and climbed in next to me. I laid in his arms and that is how I fell asleep. Cuddled against my boyfriend. It was like nothing could hurt me.
