Shourtney: Prom (AU)

The week before it, Shayne had asked Courtney to prom. He was so worried that she'd say no, but she was ecstatic that he'd asked her.

Later in the week, they decided to coordinate their outfits. They decided on a peach color for them to match with. Courtney would get a peach colored dress, and Shayne would get a peach colored tie. Shayne was also getting flowers for Courtney in the color peach, but that was surprise. As a joke, Courtney was going to give Shayne an actual peach.

On the Sunday of the week of prom, which was a spirit week, they decided to do some spirit week outfits together. The spirit weeks were Tropical Day (Monday), Dynamic Duo (Tuesday), Dress Like A Teacher Day (Wednesday), Camouflage Day (Thursday), and Fancy Day (Friday). They wore similar tropical clothes on Monday. Courtney wore a grass skirt (with pants under them, of course) and a Hawaiian shirt, while Shayne looked like a dad going on vacation to Hawaii. On Tuesday, they dressed up as Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from Spongebob. Courtney was Mermaid Man, and Shayne was Barnacle Boy, both of which were a funny sight to see. On Dress Like A Teacher Day, they both dressed up as the principal, Mr. Peabody. On Camouflage Day, they decided to dress up like Waldo from Where's Waldo, as did about half of the school. So many people said 'Found Him!' to them that day. On Friday, for Fancy Day, Courtney wore a dress (that was not her prom dress) and Shayne wore a dress shirt and dress pants.

On Saturday,  both of them were getting ready at their own houses. Courtney's mom was helping her out. She helped her with her dress, shoes and earrings. Courtney got to work on her makeup, making it look at perfect as possible. Her mom came back into the room with a boutonnière for Shayne.

Shayne was looking up ways to do his own hair, so it looked good. His mom was picking up his tux, as she had insisted on doing so. He would've been fine going on his own, but he let his mom do it anyway. He decided to go with a classic hairstyle of his, which was his bangs to the side. His mom showed up with his tux, and he put it on. His mom tied his tie for him, another thing she had insisted on doing. She handed him the corsage for Courtney, as well as the flowers she'd helped him pick out.

"I'm going to drive my car over to Courtney's house, so I can be there to take pictures." Shayne's mom said, going quickly.

Shayne chuckled, and looked himself in the mirror one last time before he left. He was prepared to have a magical night.

Shayne walked out to his own car. There was the smell of a new air freshener in the car, which probably meant his mom took his car to get the tux. She really wanted him to impress Courtney.

He took the drive to Courtney's house. He prepared himself for his mom to be all fussy about everything, and was very excited about the whole idea of prom.

He pulled up in front of Courtney's house, and stepped out of the car. He went up to the front door with the flowers and corsage. He knocked, and Courtney opened the door.

She looked beautiful in his eyes. He looked handsome in her eyes. He handed her the flowers, and she invited him in. She held the boutonnière for Shayne, as well as the peach.

They exchanged their gifts and embraced each other. Their moms took pictures as Courtney put the boutonnière on Shayne and Shayne put the corsage on Courtney. They had their mom's take the flowers and peach. They took good pictures both inside and outside of the house. After a while, they decided to head out to dinner. They went to a semi fancy place, but didn't order much. When they were headed to prom, Courtney noticed something stuck on the window next to her.

It was a small print of a picture of them together. It said to look in a compartment in the car, and there were many more in there.

When they pulled into the school and got out of the car, Courtney wrapped her arms around Shayne.

"Thank you for that surprise in the car." Courtney said, planting a kiss on his lips.

Shayne grinned. He was happy she liked the pictures, even though what had happened wasn't his original plan for the pictures.

He'd guessed his mom had taken them.
