MY head was practically still swimmimg after I said goodbye to Julian. June was slightly mad at me for leaving her like that, but got into a fit of cooing when I told her the story.

"Julian took you around the school? Wicked. I've been trying my luck at him since I was in the ninth grade in middle school. Heck I even started applying make -up but no can do. And then you my friend, just comes in and he's under your thumb. All on your first day. Nice." She smiled coyly.

"Thanks. By the way, I met some rude and nasty girl with.. "

"Lexi" She said before I could finish. I wasn't shocked.

"Surprised? Lexi's your everyday 'cute -nd -prissy-no-good-brat-next-door' kind of girl. Its hard not to miss her. Usually she loves new kids. She basically befriends them before turning them into her servants. She's got o whole colony of them."

I giggled.

"Then why did she lash out at me?" I asked June as we walked to her locker.

"She hates girls who are competition to her. Especially girls who are prettier than her. "

I smiled again.

"So anyway, back to Julian. Not only is he a Winslet High hottie,he's also the captain of the football and basketball team."

The bell rang signalling the end of school.

I sighed. I'd had one hell of a day. Before I got down from the bus, June told me there would be a party this night at Lexi's house.

"I-I can't come' I whined 'she'll humliate me." June frowned.

"she'll let it slide. But only because you're new."

"I'll see what I can do "

"Great. I'll stop by at seven. See ya."

I laughed to myself as I watched her dance down the street. Apparently she hadn't seen the way Lexi had gone all apeshit on me. I could see the beginning of a beautiful relationship with her. Note the sarcasm.

I caught sight of my house.
Home, finally.

As I stepped inside, I felt the wave of the usual emptiness sweep over me. I really never felt at home-disregarding the fact that my parents lived with me. Unlike other homes I'd visited, I could feel full blown life there but here, I felt empty and miserable. And it's not because I'm an only child. Dont get me wrong-my parents love me and spend time with me but the emptiness I feel is deep within me. Its like there a missing part of me that's still searching for me and I can't live without it.

Then the misery is like a constant reminder that I don't exist to some people. Even at the new school I just enrolled in,the highest I can give is one week and the so-called friends I made today would vanish-like everyone else did.

I sat in front of my dressing table/study table. I saw a strawberry blonde with violet eyes staring back at me. Her eyes were dull and devoid of emotions.
She doesn't look so happy. I thought.

An hour later, I heard the front door open. I hurried downstairs and saw my dad bringing in his workshop items.

My dad handles cars, car parts, spare parts and tools. You could call him a mechanic but he's in a higher level.

"Hey dad. Welcome home " I hugged him.

"No, no sweetie,'he tried to push me away 'now you've got grease all over you. "

"At least I match you." I said pointedly.

And besides, my papa was a mess.

"Can I help you with that?" I asked. He set the box down and looked at me.
