JUNE growled and tried to bite the man holding her as we drove to the airport.
Marius -or whatever his name was rode shotgun.
He practically appeared out of nowhere and we'd crashed into him.
He'd been too fast to be a werewolf, so I concluded he'd was a vampire.
June didn't suspect anything about it so I didn't bother saying anything to make her hysterical.
June was trying to rid herself of the man holding her. She fought like a trapped coyote.Should I just tell her it's pointless?
"Stop squirming!" The man ordered, squeezing her. She cried out.
Marius turned and narrowed his eyes at the man. The man's head lowered in fear?Who was this guy?
"Please, let us go. We didn't do anything wrong."
"Who told you you did?"
June frowned.
"Why is she here?" I asked him.
"She'll be my bait."What? No way was anyone using my friend as bait.
"You must be nuts to think that I'll let that happen."
"You can't force us!" June cried, tugging on Marius' arm. He gazed at her hand on his sleeve and gave her a brief glare, then shrugged her off and faced forward. The airport came into view and my head said silent no!!
I thought about Veiko and Julian.
They were too faraway. If I screamed, would they hear me?
I'd told Veiko to leave, but I knew the silly boy wouldn't go too far.
Another thing I hoped was that one of the gang had seen us. We'd been dragged through the back-so it was most unlikely.June emitted a low growl, angered by Marius' behaviour and grabbed apen from the cup holder and stabbed him on the arm.
He didn't even flinch. He simply grabbed her hand -that didn't let go of the pen, and pulled it out of his arm.
June stared at him on horror.
"W-what are you?"
His brow rose. He pulled her forward and chopped the back of her neck with the edge of his palm.
She fell on him, unconscious. He sat her on his lap and motioned to his driver to carry on.
"No!' I yelled, jumping at Marius when I felt a heavy blow from behind, darkening my world to black.* * *
A sharp pain enveloped me as I struggled to open my eyes. The ground was too soft. My surroundings came into view.
I was on a bed. In a room-a room that looked familiar.
Too familiar.Where the heck am I? I wondered as I finally came to and sat up.
June was nowhere in sight.
Was I in some kind of dungeon? If so, where were the chains?
However, the room was anything but scary. Tye walls were a light pink and lavender shade and the bed was all fluffy and white.
I got off the bed and walked to the large dressing table.
I took note of the perfume brands and the make-up kit.
I looked at myself in the embroidered mirror.Honestly, I felt like I'd gone back in time.
I was dressed in a light yellow nightgown.
I gasped in horror. How had I gotten into it? Had Marius changed me?
