"guys. we have some news to announce" clary squealed in a high pitched tone as she and jace walked in hand in hand " oh my what now" maryse asked. clary and jace walked further into the room and everyone was watching them now "welllll... clary and I are getting married" "after iv had the baby and we are settled and all" they said. izzy was the first to react obviously "oh my god that's awesome... we have to get you a dress.. oh oh and I wanna plan it... oh and sort the decorations and wow this ring is gorgeous... good choice herondale" izzy said in a rush as she inspected the ring on clarys finger "izzy calm down. we are not planning anything until this baby is born so chillax" jace clamly explained "WHAT...NO NO NO... you are NOT getting married" Jocelyn yelled "no I will not allow it" she yelled. luke stepped forwards and placed his hand on her shoulder " Jocelyn I-it makes sense, there having  twins and they love each other." he tried to convince her "Jocelyn please... I love your daughter sooo much. she means the absolute world to me and I cant live without her. please Jocelyn" jace begged "and what luke said. im pregnant with his babies. " clary chirped in. there was silence for a few minutes as Jocelyn made her decision "fine I... I suppose but that doesn't mean I fully trust you yet " Jocelyn said pointing a finger at jace. "thank you soo much mum" clary said as she walked as fast as she could over to her mum to hug her. everyone congratulated the them and then magnus invited everyone to his for a very late notice engagement party but everyone went anyways as they had nothing better to do

at the party was just alec, magnus, izzy, simon, luke, maia, Jordan, Jocelyn, maryse, Robert, jace and clary. magnus had magiced up lots of party food and everyone spent the whole night playing party games (that clary could play), board games and then a few hours of chatting about the latest downworld gossip. when the party finished magnus made a portal so that everyone could get home safely. alec spent the night at his but jace, clary, izzy, maryse and Robert went back to the institute, simon, maia and Jordan went to their small apartment and luke and Jocelyn went home.

"well that was fun wasn't it" jace said to a tired clary " yeah it was great and I was surprised my mum didn't put up more of a fight" clary said while yawning. she stretched since she had had them folded in all day . she hobbled over to the bed and stripped into just her underwear. she had, had her nighty on earlier that night when jace proposed but she had gotten changed into more appropriate clothes when they went to Magnus's and it was too hot to put it back on so she just slipped into bed like that while jace got changed. "damn im surprised she even agreed to letting us get married" he said as he slipped in next to her so that they were face to face. clary put her head against his chest as he held her close with one hand on her bump and his wings covering them both. she let out a sigh "we have forever to be together" she whispered against his skin as she fell into a blissful sleep. jace lay awake for a while listening to her steady breathing and the beat of her heart but when he eventually drifted of he dreamed of clary
