Knight in shining armor
Save the princess who's in danger
But fairytales are what they truly are
And in this day of modern age
Non carries armor destined to save your day
So I'm sorry, but replace it can be your only way
Your own knight has to be found
But it's impossible, you might think
Because while the tears fall from your eyes
And a void suddenly fills your heart
You are locked in your room
And everyone else, outside, no one to hear or to see a thing
And no one ever cared that you were broken
No one ever wanted to save you
None ever had the desire to fix you
So you, the modern princess
With modern issues
And in need of modern saving
Well if you wait to be saved
When your mother is too busy saving your belly
And daddy's only focused on keeping clothes on that body
Siblings too busy doing their own thing
Friends that only here for you when a smile is present
And don't even think about a prince
They only save princesses who are whole
And who were never broken
So you won't be saved
If you wait, I'm sorry to say
You'll be locked in that tower of your mind
Till you broken pieces have flied far away
Where they are too far to be put together again
And your soul existence is somewhere else
Somewhere other than in your body
Which only remains with a smile,
Forced to show others you are alright
But that is simply terrifying
So you know what you do?
Be your own knight in shining armor
Climb down the tower with your own fragile hands
Fight with your own powerful weapons
The ones you never thought were good enough
And save yourself, princess.
