If your skin resembles the dark,
where creatures thrive,
where monsters devour
little children
under the midnight stars,
then why do you think you
will ever be accepted? If when your hair is touched,
a finger is stuck,
like a fly caught in a
spider's web,
then why do you think,
you won't be ridiculed? If your nose is as wide
as the buttocks, and the hips
that can't fit into a
pair of jeans,
then why do you think,
you could ever be called pretty? If your eyebrows are knitted together,
lips either pressed or hung,
or moving up and down,
classless words being thrown out,
then why do you think you won't be called angry? If your mother gave birth to you,
at the age of 14 to 18,
and you look like her, just like
your sister's friend with that three year old daughter,
then why don't you think we know your three months? If your dad left you at three, then why do you think someone with his kinky hair will stay till death do you part?
If your dad left you at three, then why would someone with his kinky hair, stay with your baby past three?
