And I've learned from my past tribulations
That as time progresses there will be more frustrations
But I've learned to let go
And although it's never a joke
I've learned to let go and to laugh
Even though it's tough, it's rough
I refuse to cry
I refuse to not try
And to let my soul run about
Till I feel as if I'm lost and trapped in a drought
And fallen into a helpless pit
I know it's not easy, not a bit
But I'm not helpless
My situation is not hopeless
I've been through worse
This isn't as bad of a curse
As that of yesterday's
When my life felt like it was slipping away
But I overcame
And I'll overcome
That of today
Just like of yesterday.
