She stared into the mirror
Her eyes widened in terror
More stretch marks were there
More insecurities to bear
It pained her to look at her skin
Or the darker spots on her chin
Her arms were too big
Her hair should be replaced with a wig
Her presence lacked grace
Beauty, no where to be found on her face
She lacked everything beautiful
And that's why here insecurities were so plentiful
These are words that she thought everyday
She had hope that someone would convince her someday
And tell her otherwise
Like that she had enough beauty to make a dead man want to rise
But days passed and none were found
To show her her the beauty that she was bound
So her words and thoughts became reality
And her hidden beauty became invisibility
