Why do I shut you out?
This world is unfair
You step out
and you're dead
Guns and violence
Hate and jealousy
So when you try to come in
But you see my stone cold face
And my shutted eyes
And my un hearing ears
my thin pressed lips
Its because I can't let you in
I want to but I cant
So now, its one less problem
And one less person
That I have to hope
Will make it home safe
That I have to shed tears
If they don't make it safe
I just save myself the heartbreak
Because this world is too harsh
To love too much
This is why I shut you out.
