"Stop digging for worms and ruining the nursery Lionkit! Bury it all up and get outside now!" Dawnflower snapped. Lionkit hastily buried the worms and ran outside. Tigerkit padded after her, afraid of Dawnflower. "Dawnflower they were just playing! They're only kits!" Hollyfern said objecting her. "Well it's about time Lionkit became an apprentice!" Dawnflower growled back and left. Lionkit kept running until she heard Froststar yowl from the higherock," Let all those cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting! Lionkit, come here also." Lionkit climbed the highrock and stood beside him. "It's about time we named a new apprentice. Lionkit, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect it, even at the cost of your life?" Froststar asked. "I do!" Lionkit mewed excitedly. "Then from now on, you will be known as Lionpaw. Leopardclaw, you will be mentor to Lionpaw. We welcome you as an apprentice of Thunderclan!" Lionpaw touched noses with Leopardclaw. "Lionpaw! Lionpaw! Lionpaw!" The clan chanted. "Wolfkit, Icekit, and Pinekit. Come here also." Froststar added. They excitedly climbed up the highrock. "Do you three promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?" He asked. "We do!" They exclaimed. "You will now be known as Wolfpaw, Icepaw, and Pine paw. Cloudheart, you will be mentor to Wolfpaw. Thundertail, you will be mentor to Icepaw. Oakpelt, you will be mentor to Pinepaw. We welcome you as apprentices of Thunderclan!" He finished. They touched noses with their mentors. "Wolfpaw! Icepaw! Pinepaw!" The clan chanted. They ran to join Lionpaw. "We're finally apprentices!" Wolfpaw mewed with joy.
