"Wake up, Charley. Wake up, wake up, wake uuuuup. Charley, baby, you need to wake up." Someone was singing at me and shaking me, and I was not very happy about it. I groaned in protest, rolling over onto my front and burying my face into the pillow. I heard a frustrated sigh, and then the person was on my bed, bouncing up and down and shouting at the top of their lungs.

"oH MY GOSH I’M UP I’M FUCKING UP!" I shouted, opening my eyes and swatting behind me. "Finally, I was beginning to think that you’d forgotten today was the concert." Sam said, flopping down onto my feet. I shot up like a rocket out of bed, my heart starting to beat rapidly. "Today is the concert!" I nearly shouted, and she laughed before nodding. "And you slept the day away so it’s only five hours until we have to leave!" She said, and my eyes  bugged out of my head. "You’re kidding right?" She shook her head no. "It’s two o’clock." "Well, we should like, do something, I dunno. I can’t not do anything until then or else I’ll freak out and die." I said. She laughed at me, crossing her legs underneath her. "Do you want to go out for lunch and go get our nails done? On me?" She asked. I was now well aware of Sam’s financial situation-her parents owned some sort of oil company back home and they’re some of the richest people around, so she gets all of her money from them. I wasn’t one to mooch, but she’d just make me go anyways. "Sure. Just let me get dressed." I said, and she flopped down on my bed, messing with her nails.

Twenty minutes later we were heading out of the house and down the street to catch the bus. “You and Harry are going to have to fight over Luke.” I giggled to her as we talked about the boys. She rolled her eyes behind her sunglasses, waving her hand at me. “Psh, I can take that boy out any day. Just try to hurt Lou and he’ll come after you.” She said, and I laughed, nodding. “Yeah, that’s true. But he’ll still fight you for Luke, I fear.” She then looked over at me with her eyebrows raised behind her glasses. “I doubt that will be the only fight caused by a boy tonight.” She said, and I just looked at her confused. “What, you don’t think that Niall will destroy Ashton. I know how he looks at you.” I rolled my eyes, blushing. “Niall can shove it up his ass. He think I like him even a little bit and he couldn’t be more wrong.” She only laughed. “Keep thinking that babe.” “I will. I can’t stand him.” She patted my shoulder as the bus rolled to the stop. “I know.” She trotted up the steps, and I followed, my mood sinking, all because of Niall.

We were in the middle of a conversation while we got our pedicures when my phone started ringing. I stopped in the middle of my sentence to answer it, pressing it to my ear. “‘Lo?” “Hey Charley! I was calling about tonight.” “Oh, hey, Louis. What’s up?” “Well, I was just wondering what time you planned on being here?” “Umm, well, what time do you want us there?” “Well, we were all planning on going out to eat before the show, and there’s a lot of us. Plus we’re going to town like forty-five minutes away, so I was thinking five thirty?” I looked at the time and almost choked on air. “That’s an hour and a half away!” I said, and heard him sigh. “Well, then you better hurry up whatever you’re doing.” He sassed. I rolled my eyes. “Whatever you say, queen.” “That’s right. I’ll see you later.” “Later.” I said, and hung up. “We have an hour and a half to get to the frat house.” I told Sam. She gave me a look that said ‘what the hell?’, and all I could do was nod and sigh.

At five-twenty we approached the frat house, already dying of heat exhaustion. I banged on the door while Sam leaned against the railing, fanning herself. “It is hot as hell outside.” I banged on the door again, nodding at her in agreement. “I think I’m gonna die.” She complained, and once again, I nodded. “Wait, aren’t you from Kansas?” “Yeah, but it’s not this fuckin’ hot out, like, ever.” I just laughed lightly, then realized the door was still shut. “OPEN THE DAMN DOOR IT’S LIKE LUCIFER’S CAGE OUT HERE.” I shouted, banging on the door harder. Sam giggled from behind me, and then the door was wrenched open.
