Chapter Nine

The next morning I woke up with a killer headache and I knew that I absolutely reeked. I groaned and rolled over, cracking my eyes open to look at the ceiling of Zayn's room. Everything from last night was coming back to me, and I groaned louder as I realized what all had happened. I blushed with embarrassment, but shook myself out of it. Hopefully, no one remembered anything.

I rolled over to search for my phone and see what time it was when I noticed two Tylenol and a bottle of water on the bedside table. I pushed myself into sitting and scooted to the side of the bed, looking down to see a towel folded by my clothes and a note. I picked it up, yawning and blinking sleep out of my eyes. 'stuff for the hangover, towel for a shower. borrow some more clothes after you get out. Love, Zee x'. I smiled down at the note, touched that he took enough care to do this in the morning. I knew he was probably hung over, but then again, I hadn't seen him drink anything. Only smoking. So I gulped down some water, swallowed the pills, and gathered a pair of a sweats and t-shirt in my arms with the towel, found my phone in my boot, and began making my way into the extremely silent hallway.

It was dead, nothing was going on at all. I clicked my phone to see that it was only 10 am, and I hadn't even known what time I'd gone to sleep. I just shrugged, opening a door to what I presumed was the bathroom, and I was right. I shut and locked the door, turned on the water, and stripped down.

It didn't take me that long to shower, and when I was out, I wiped the mirror and stared at myself. I used part of the towel to wipe away the makeup under my eyes and used my finger to brush my teeth before I pulled on Zayn's sweats and a 'Misfits' t-shirt that looked small enough to be okay-looking on me. I went back into his room, picking up my stuff and drying my hair with the towel. I took it up into my arms, and then proceeded to make my way downstairs.

As soon as I stepped foot on the bottom step, the door open, and a few boys walked in, bags rustling and laughter filling the house. Zayn was among them, and he smiled at me when he saw me. "Hello, love. Enjoy your sleep?" He was quite chipper for having a wild party last night. "Uhhh, yeah, I did. You?" "Psh, I didn't sleep. Come on, we brought donuts and coffee." He said, nodding his head to follow him into the kitchen. I did, and was surprised to find that the house was actually clean. There were no cups, no drugs, no empty bottle, no puke piles or naked people lying on the floor anywhere. When we got to the kitchen, however, and I looked out of the sliding glass doors, I saw that there were tons of trash bags littered on the porch, and the backyard was an absolute mess. That was where people were passed out, all different ways on the lawn. Zayn caught me looking, and pulled out a box of donuts from the bag. He grinned at me, handing me a cup. "Don't worry about them. They'll wake up soon." He said, and I just nodded.

"So, what do you remember from last night?" Zayn asked, and I felt myself blushing. "Uhm...everything. Well, mostly everything. Not really the small details." I said, and he grinned again. "Zayn! Who all is still here?" One of the guys asked, who I was pretty sure his name was Daniel. "Uhhh, Niall is, Liam is asleep, Mikey is upstairs, Lou is asleep, and..." He listed off different names of the brothers that had passed out or were somewhere upstairs. "Where did all of the girls go?" I asked, and he smiled, biting into a donut. "Well, most left this morning, a lot of the sorority girls are at home now because let either left the party or got up early to go. You didn't, however, because you were in a bed and we were nice enough to let you sleep. That's sort of the rule; if they have a bed, they stay." He said. "So, if girls spend the night here..." I trailed off, and he caught on. "If they're someone's girlfriend, they stay. If they're a one-night-fuck, either the guy kicks them out, or we do." He said. I nodded, sipping my drink.

Slowly over the morning time a few boys made their way into the kitchen, and Zayn wouldn't let me leave yet because he wanted company. So we found ourselves on the couch, eating out of a box of donuts and watching cartoons on the telly. Eventually Liam and Harry made their way in, followed by Louis and then some of the others. After Harry got his coffee he came over the couch and laid his head on my shoulder, watching the show with us. "I'm so sleepy and hungover." He said, and I laughed. "That's what you get." "Are you not? You did party hard last night." "Nah, I had medicine, thanks to Zaynie." I said, batting my eyelashes up at him. A few of the guys laughed, but Liam leaned over him and chomped his teeth playfully. "Mine." He said, and just grinned at him around Zayn.
