"What took you so long?!" I said as Lucy stepped into the car — "what's your problem?!" She shouted at me and I pulled out of the drive way as soon as the gates behind me opened. "I don't have a problem", I said and felt Lucy look at me as if she knew I was lying. "What's wrong with trying to get her girlfriend back?" She said buckling in her seatbelt which reminded me I didn't buckle mine. "Luce, what kind of girlfriend does that type of shit to their fucking fiancé? Don't tell me it's okay." I said as we approached a stop sign, "I never said it's okay but I've never seen you so angry at something stupid. If y/n claims they love each other why not give it a second chance?" She protested and I huffed "I thought there was no such thing as a second chance," I looked at Lucy catching her eye — she knew what I was talking about.
"Lauren, not now." She said a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Then when?! It's been three fucking months Lucy, and I'll I've done was be there with you — I haven't dated since you." I look over at her for a second to see if she was looking at me but she wasn't, my eyes then returned to the road.
"I told you, you could—"
"Not now" I mocked and she sighed in frustration. "I told you we'd be a secret and apparently you can't keep secrets — at least not when you're drunk — and there's always cameras around you and I told you I couldn't have them." She said — "I know I know Lucy, you don't have to—" "I think I do." She said as she cut me off.
I didn't say a word at all the entire car ride and she didn't either.
