"Is she breathing?!" I yelled at Lucy as she shushed me and nodded "I can't believe...I...I..." Lucy stood up, taking her phone out from her pocket. "What are you doing?" I asked her, furrowing my eyebrows. "I'm calling the ambulance." She said as I heard the phone start ringing. "Are you crazy?! They're going to ask what happened!" She looked at me as if I were stupid and hung up the call.

"Am I crazy?! Lauren your fucking crazy! You knocked her out! What the hell is wrong with you?" I opened my mouth to speak but she quickly interrupted.

"You don't have to go around trying to fix things okay?! You can't just punch somebody because your not happy with what they did!"

"Oh yeah?!" I spoke. "Well that's exactly what she fucking did." More and more tears came out "how are you not going to believe Kendall?! You can't fucking choose favorites here Lucy! Open your eyes."

Lucy shook her head "find a ride home."

Furrowing my eyebrows. "Lucy?! Your just going to leave her here!" I shouted but not too loudly. "I'm done fixing your mistakes — do it yourself." She said, and I stared down at her. Her lips looked torn, her cheek already started bruising up. The more I stared at her the more I started to realize that I looked like he monster here. No. I wasn't...

My eyes opened, the only thing I could see was the blue sky staring back down at me making fun of me. One huge inhale of the air around me as I started to gain conscience. "Your awake." I felt somebody's body fall onto mine — snap — I heard as the branches beneath me snapped.

"What the —" I whispered — my eyebrows stayed furrowed as she backed away from me. It was Lauren, I backed away cautiously my hands landing on broken twigs and gravel.

"I'm sorry..." she stood off, brushing the dirt off her knees.

"Just leave me alone." I said attempting to stand up but I fell back down. She looked at me as if she was going to help me up but I stood up on my second attempt. "Y/N..." she whispered. "You don't know me Lauren, just leave this monster the fuck alone. Okay?!" She looked at me sadly.

"I'm already going through so fucking much, your not helping." I looked at her before turning my back towards her. As I took my first step I felt her hand on my shoulder. "Are you innocent?" I turned my face at a 90 degree angle staring down at her hand on my shoulder. "I am..." I whispered and turned to look at her face, she removed her hand quickly. I continued to walk away towards my car, my head hurt worse now. How was I going to explain the bruises to my security guards?!

As I reached my car I stood there like an idiot realizing my keys were in my bag. "You forgot something..." I heard her. I just looked at her and took my bag, reaching in for my keys. "Here." She handed me my phone — which now had a cracked screen.

I nodded and looked at her before unlocking my car.

"Agh! There's one more thing I need to ask..." Lauren said and I raised an eyebrow — "can I get a ride...?" I sighed and nodded "c'mon," I whispered, my throat now sore and scratchy.  The ride was quiet except for the last ten minutes. "If your not guilty then what's the story?" She said as the vehicle came to a stop due to a red light. "You don't have to know everything, princess." I mocked after clearing my throat.

"I won't tell," she said in a childish tone.

"Why are you being nice to me anyways? After everything I've done..." I just looked at her. "I'm not a bad person, Lauren." Our eyes locked — "green." I raised an eyebrow as she turned to the light and I stepped on the wheel. "Lucy was right."

"Where is she? Isn't she your girlfriend?" I asked.

"You'd like to know." She teased but I rolled my eyes, "no she's not. We're best-friends..." I nodded. "Now that I answer that..." I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"I'll stop. Okay? With the Twitter shit and the hashtags." I laughed "its much more complex than that." I said, from the corner of my eye I could see the frustration in her face. "You want to make people think your not a monster?" I turned to look at her. "Then spill." I shook my head.

"Darling, I already said —" she cut me off. "How?! Your either guilty or not, and if you want to make me think your not it's going to take a lot of convincing."

"Lauren, I don't care about the Twitter shit, or the hashtags. I know I'm innocent —"

"But you want Kendall back..." Lauren said. And I looked at her — she just smiled knowing she was right. "Lauren, just give it up! Why do you care so bloody much?! I don't have to prove nothing to you or tell you anything! I don't give a flying fuck if you believe me or not." I shouted, she just looked away...shocked was the expression on her face...no horrified...

"I-I'm sorry..." I said as I stared at the road which was coming up to another red light. "It's fine..." She mumbled "what happened between Kendall and I can't--" she quickly interrupted. "Why didn't you hit me back when I was attacking you? You didn't defend yourself at all..." I sighed and replied back with "maybe because I would never harm ano--" "don't give me that bullshit, was it the attention it would receive? Or maybe even--" I shook my head. "You're not going to stop huh?" I looked at her and she looked at her in the eyes for a second before looking down at the dashboard. "I'm not..." she whispered. "I can't tell you all of it...but..."

I knew I was going to regret this...
