I thought what Lauren and I had was real, I thought her hating me was a mistake — I thought... "Wait —" I heard from behind me, I stopped thinking, I stopped everything I was doing. I didn't care for the rain pouring down on me — I didn't care. "Come inside it's raining!" Lauren said flinching at the rain. "Really, I didn't know that." I took out my car key and unlocked my car "look those messages are old — there from before I..." she stopped as I set a foot in my car not caring if the seat got wet "before I met you, y/n, the actual you...the you I'm falling in..." I stopped her there.

Closed the car door...behind me.

"Stop —" the word had escaped from my mouth a little too quickly. "I overreacted... now we're literally standing in the rain... I'm s—" she interrupted me, except instead of using words she practically jumped on me and kissed me. There in the rain — we stood, her lips on mine while our hair and clothes were soaked by the water pouring down on us.

After we pulled away we laughed in realization that our clothes were drenched — we ran back inside kicking our shoes off. "I'm really sor—" she wouldn't let me apologize she sang over me and I just smiled "what?" Lauren shook her head "no, don't apologize, babe."

Her calling me that made me melt inside "babe?" I smirked "yeah..." she blushed having realized she said it. "Something wrong with that?" She started to walk closer to me slowly almost seductively "I just find it hot — that's all..." I wrapped my arms around her waist as I was going to pull her into another kiss.

"Didn't you guys like already make out outside?" Lucy interrupted "Luce!" Lauren groaned "well I mean I'm right —" she went out of her way to step under our arms to squeeze in between us. "Hello." She flashed a smile at me before turning to Lauren — I tried to let got but Lauren caught my hand "hey Lucy? We're kind of in the middle of something!" Lauren shouted in her ear "shit you're loud, I'm right here!"

"I know!"

"Look at your Twitter, both of you —" we both let go, to go grab our phones and see what she had been talking about. "How did people find out so quickly?!" Lauren asked Lucy as if she knew everything — "don't ask me, ask her ex."

"But how would she know..?" Lauren asked me "I don't remember telling her..." except I sort of did. "Fuck Twitter who cares about what everyone's saying right now –" Lauren started "oh shit..." she stopped and sat down looking at her phone.

"What?" Lucy asked after a while if her not explaining — "Ty's talking about it..." I didn't know who they were talking about, Lucy just gave me a look but I made nothing of it.

"Uh...Ty?" I raised a brow — "doesn't matter." Lauren threw her phone down on the couch "you aren't going to tell her?" Lucy almost yelled — "it doesn't matter." She repeated I just stood there clueless knowing she was hiding something "can I-"

"No."
