We aren't just passing ships, are we?

Staring at the moon

Emma POV- I zipped up my boots and threw on my jacket as Killian washed up the our mugs. He grabbed his long leather jacket and we headed off the boat. We slowly and gently walked along the docks. The dull clatter of the rope hitting the metallic poles died in the air. We didn't speak. I really want enjoyed it, just a quiet walk along the dock with a man who meant the world to me. We where about a mile down when we came to a peer that reached further out into the calming ocean. Killian grabbed my wrist gently, leading me down to the end. He sat down with his legs dangling over the water. I mimicked his action. We both where looking out across the water. The moon rose slightly above the horizon. Lighting up and towards mine and Killians faces. I turned my head towards towards​ Killian, he was staring up at the sky.
"You see them 7 stars there? That's 'cygnus'. That's the swan constellation."
I looked down at my feet and smiled to myself. I...I..Love him. I didn't say anything. I just smiled and stared back up at the stars. We where both still silent for another few minutes. That was the only thing Killian had said to me since we started this walk. I was worried. I turned my head back to Killian . His eyes where full of tears.
"Killian, what wrong?" I said gently yet sort of knowing why.
"You see them stars there... Liam always said that..that they where always his favourite..."

Killian broke down in tears. I shuffled closer to him. I lifted my hand and gently prompted him to rest his head on my shoulder. I stroked the side of his head as he let out his emotions. He has never opened up to me like this before. I stayed like this for a while. He re-adjusted his body, so it was closer to mine. I lightly kisses him on the top of his head, while allowing him to snuggle into my neck.

My heart was beating so fast, it didn't slow down. I tried to calm myself but nothing helped. I think one of my walls where coming down...And it was a big one. We stayed down on the peer for another hour. In silence, yet it wasn't awkward. We both gazed out onto the ocean and the moon.

Eventually Killian lifted his head off of me. My heart and mind where going crazy. But why, what was different? Killian swung his legs back up and stood up offering me a hand. I grabbed his hand and stood up. My heart went into overdrive as soon as we touched. My legs collapsed beneath me. I stumbled, about to fall in the ocean when Killian grabbed me. "E-Emma are you okay!!" It was all muffled. Killian looked me straight into my eyes. His aquamarine pearl's sending me into a trance. I spell i couldn't awake from. His arms tightly wrapped around me, protecting me. His hand slowly move up to the back of my head. Running through my hair, fingers and thumbs. I slowly tilted my head up. Killian moved his torso closer to mine. His head slowly moving to mine. Our heads touched before Killian lightly pressed his lips on to mine. We held the kiss for a moment, filling it with passion yet with sensitivity. I gently pulled back, allowing a wall to fall down. I unclipped my head from his and gazed into his eyes. Mine where full of tears. It took so long for me to get to this point, and i finally found a man who loves me. Killian moved his hand from the back of my head and wiped the tear from my cheek. He cupped my cheek and slowly came back to kiss me. Deeper and deeper into the kiss, slowly yet passionately. We could feel each others pain and slowly but surely, we where stitching our battered hearts back together...
