Chap.18 Jake

~Jason's Pov~

My brother grabbed me by my shirt and threw me through the door which made me fall down.

"WHAT IN THE HELL WAS THAT!!!"

He screamed at me

"I-"

He cut me off.

"THAT WAS OUR BIGGEST JOB YET AND YOU BLEW IT!!!"

I stood up slowly but he grabbed my shirt and held me close to his face.

"What do you have to say for yourself." he seethed

"I'm sorry man, I got distracted" I said shakily

"DISTRACTED!!!BY WHAT!?"

I just stared at him.

"You know what when I find out you'll be sorry." he said storming out of the house.

I started pacing what if he found out.

Juliet would be in trouble because of me.

She won't answer me I have no idea what to do.

If she got hurt because of me I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

I need help.

I know just who to call.

~Jake's Pov~

I was at home playing video games when I heard my phone buzz.

I looked and to my surprise Jason texted me.

I instantly felt a smile wipe across my face.

Jasons like a brother.

I'm his only friend.

Only person he could really trust in fact.

Call me - Jason

Ok-jake

I called him and he answered.

"Hey jase" I said happily

"Hey" he said nervously

"What's up man what do you need?" I asked concerned

"I'm in deep shit jake." he said

"Woah what happened?" I asked

"You know that date I had?"

"Yeah" I answered

"Well Alex kinda got to her before I did but I saved her." he said

"What, why?" I gasped

"Well I met her at school and I liked her. I come home and she's tied up in my room. I know what my brother dose to these girls but it was different I knew this one I had to help." He explained

"Ok so what's the problem?" I asked

"After the date she asked about the dirty work and I told her."

"About the killing!?" I exclaimed

"Yes I had to and she said she need time I felt I screwed and we went to a job and I wasn't paying attention and I got spotted. I blew it. Alex is pissed. he said when finds out I'll be sorry."

I sat there in awe.

"I blew it jake she's in danger because of me." he said shamefully

"Ok I'll-" I was cut off by a grunt and the sound of the phone falling.

"Jason"

"JASON!!" I screamed

The line went dead.

Something wasn't right.
