Chapter 16

Melissa's POV

One month later

Why, why did you kill him?

That was the question of his mother, the question everyone couldn't understand why I did what I had. It was for the best that I killed him, his actions later on would have only made him go crazy and give his wolf full control over him.

I guess your wondering who I'm on about, his name was Fred, he was apart of the pack until I killed him, why you ask. Well it's easy he and his mate was out on patrol running the boarder, they both came across a group of rogues, they both tried to fight them off but Fred's mate got killed. After hearing a painful sadden howl coming from within the woods I knew what had happened, it was then I knew what I had to do.

When a normal werewolf losing his or her mate, they go insane and let they wolfs take over. I couldn't let that happen it was best just to kill them and put them out they misery. It was for the safety of the pack and other werewolf's around. It may sound heartless but for us werewolf we would rather die along side our mates than be alone specially if your mates to them.

"Here thought I would find you here" Harry says as he walks over to sit by my side on the cliff top.

"I needed to clear my head, I can't stand to see they faces, it's like they all hate me" I put my head on Harry's shoulder as he puts in arms around me.

"They will come round, they know it was for the best, I would of done the same" I knew he wouldn't but as alphas we had to think of others in the pack.

"Harry"

"Yeah"

"Thank you for everything" he puts a finger under my chin and turns my faces to his own.

"Never thank me for doing what I do for you, I love you and will do what ever it takes to keep you safe and make you happy. Mel you are my star, my rock, the light of my world, my heart beats for yours, your my everything. Without you there would be nothing to live for, so never thank me for anything" I felt my heart melting as his words, I could hear the truth in them and knew he meant them.

After mine and Harry's talk I felt better knowing that deep down I did the right thing. It's been a whole month since both packs come together as one, I have to say they have both come along way. Even though some of them didn't like the new rules set, they was nothing they could do about it.  We still had plenty of room left for new pack members, which we happened to get more often than others packs did.

Rumours had it that since our pack became one big pack and I killed alpha Connor, we was a strong pack and we worked together rather than against each other. Somehow they even knew of my powers but I wasn't bothered about them knowing, now days I hardly ever used them anyways.

"Hey Luna" James said as he walks in the kitchen.

"Hey J, how's the training coming along" James was training the teens of the pack as well as doing his beta duties.

"Yeah coming on good, by the way I wanted to ask a favour" I could see that he was hesitate at first but I nodded telling me to go on.

"Well me and few other are wanting to have a party, we was sort of wondering if we could use your beach house" and there it is could I really trust him and his friends.

"I see, well I haven't really used it since I've come back. Who told you about my beach house anyways" the only people who knew was Harry and his parents plus Paul.

"Paul may have mentioned it, he said to ask if we could use your beach house"

"I'm going to kill him, how many of you will be going"

"Not as many as you think"

"Fine but break anything and I will break you, also you clean up after your done" I say well making my way to out the kitchen to find Paul and kill him with my bare hands.

When I found Paul he was in the games room playing need for speed on the Xbox, I run up and jumped on him making him jump the control. We both started rolling around on the floor while others watched on.

"I'm going to kill you" I shouted while trying to get him in the head lock.

"What did I do now" this was our way of solving our problems so the pack got use to it.

"You told about my private beach house, you arse licker" I elbowed him in the ribs.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to it just slipped out" he says rolling us over and pinning my hands above my head.

"I hate you right now" I say throwing him of me.

"I love you 2 right now" he says sarcastically as I walk out the room.

After a long day I walked to Harry's and my room before going and taking a long much needed showers. I just can't get it out my head, I killed my own pack member all because he lost his mate. I knew deep down I did the right thing but I still hated the feeling of what I did.

"I'm so sorry Clare" I said to Fred's mother through the mind link.

"It was best this way, Luna" I could hear the sadness in her voice at the loss of her son but she understood why I did it.

"Myself and the alpha will tale care of everything for you, until your ready"

"Thank you" with the she closes the link leaving me to my own thoughts.
