Chapter 22

Melissa's POV

We got back to the pack house in no time at all, everything was running through my mind, I didn't know what to believe anymore. Why did everything always come back on me, what did I do to deserve all of this, all I ever wanted was to have a happy life.

I had to find out more about this vampire king, I needed to know why he would want myself. What would a vampire want with a the daughter of the moon goddess, best of all a goddess for werewolf. For centuries it was known vampires hated werewolf's, so why now would they want myself.

Everything that was going on didn't make sense, the only one who had answers was the one out to kill me or take me hostage.

I had to do something to keep my people safe, I needed to do something, I couldn't let any more people die because of me. The hunters and vampire along with the rogues was all working together and it's become of me, I had to stop it all, I just had to.

Hours passed by as I wondered how to stop this big mess, yet only one thing come into my mind, I need to make things right and there is only one way to do so. I had made up my mind and nobody will stop me from doing so, tonight I will set out and hunter out king of vampires myself.

Walking down to the cells I made sure nobody was around before making my way to Luke cell, writing the code in the key lock I wait for the doors to open before entering. Luke is chained to the walls, is arms above his head in silver chains, weaken his wolf and all his abilities.

"What do want?" He snares at myself.

"Where do I find him?" He laughs at my words. Making me use my power to chock him before letting him go again.

"Follow the river north after 10 miles you will find a dark forest, in the forest is a hidden cave, from there his men will find you and take you to him"

"Is there anything I need to know"

"Apart from you will never come back out, your walking into your own death"

"If it will safe my people then so be it" I say as I walk out locking the doors and making my way back into the mansion.

I write a letter out to Harry and the other alphas, telling them to go back home to they lands. That this war will all be over by tomorrow morning, that I was going to end this on my own and not to follow me.

I waited till everyone was asleep before grabbing my bag and making my way into the forest, I find the river Luke was talking about and start to follower it north. I keep my ears open for any noise around me, yet I near nothing but all seems to peaceful.

After following What Luke had told me I found the cave, although I didn't like the feeling I was getting, I knew I had to do this to keep everyone safe for harms way. Sitting down I wait for someone, anyone to find me here.

"Who are you" I look up to my right and see around three guys all looking skinny and pale wearing nothing but all black clothing, vampires.

"Who me, I don't know who am I" I say acting stupid like I didn't know who I was, within a flash one of the guys was in front of me and holding me by my throat.

"Don't play smart with us little girl, I will ask you again who are you" I quickly use my shield to throw him of me and managed to pull myself together again. I let my body transform into my true form, feeling the power run through my body.

"I am the mood goddess daughter, I have come to seek your king and end this war" I let the power slip through my voice as I stand in front of these blood suckers.

"You are the one we have been looking for, the king will be pleased to see you" one of the guys say.

"Follow us" the first one who attacked me says. I stay in my true form as I follow them through the caves, I was shown into a room that was fit for a king.

I look around seeing everything is painted with red or black and has no life to it. I knew vampires were dead and had no heart beat, yet I didn't take them to be dark people.  As I was looking at the paintings on the wall one caught my eyes, it was of a family of a young woman and middle age gentlemen with a small child next to them. Yet the woman looked so familiar to someone I once knew, I just couldn't put a name to the person.

"Finally we met at last, Selina or should I call you Melissa" I look around to see a man standing behind me, he looked like the child from the picture but older.

"You must be the king, am I right" I say all the while still in my true form.

"You are correct, I heard you are here to end the war."

"Yes, I want to put an end to it all"

"Now what would I get in return"

"This war was started because you wanted me, now that I am here what end is there for a war"

"Although that it true how do I know this is not a trick"

"I assure you that I am here of my own free will king, so I ask of you to end this war and I will do what ever you wish"

"Ok as you wise, I will end this war but you are to stay here, for now my people we take you away until we speak again"

With that the king leaves me and his men, they take me to a room with no windows in, yet it had a bed and a bathroom. Although it wasn't the best it would have to do, anything to safe my people. My only hope was that Harry had listened to my letter.
