Chapter 21

Melissa's POV

As I look up into the eyes of Luke, I couldn't believe he was here and alive. He had changes so much since I last saw him, his eyes bull no longer having any life in them, his hair greasy and long, his face no longer that of a teenager. He had many scars all over him, yet one caught my eye more than the others, he had one going from the corner of his right eye down to his jawline. He wore combat trousers with a vest top, he looked nothing like the Luke I knew. The Luke I knew had loving blue eyes, with brown hair and always wore a smile and was always happy go lucky.

"Well,well,well look at what we have here, if it isn't the one who ran away" he snared at me as he tried to move towards me.

"I ran away for a reason, if your brother and pack hadn't of turned their backs on me, I wouldn't of left. How is it your still alive anyways" I say while standing on my feet and focusing on a shield around me.

"Now that is an interesting question, where do I start, the fact that I was helping your parents fight for they life's or the fact I was saved by my own good friend. You see that night my accomplish helped fake my own death, all he asked in favour was I bring him the daughter of the moon goddess. That also happens to be you" he says pointing to myself, yet how did he know. Nobody knew from the pack, nobody knew until I showed my true self.

"H-how, how did you know" I say as I try keep myself together.

"What you think we didn't know, well we didn't at first but one night I over heard your parents asking my own to keep you safe, your mother begging her alpha to protect the daughter of a goddess. It was then I knew it you their was talking about, after learning your mother was the moon goddess herself reborn to carry a daughter on earth, a daughter more powerful than herself she could bring peace upon our kind, yet use her powers for what she wishes"

"You won't get away with this, I will kill you all" just then he laugh as if I was telling him some sort of joke.

"You think your powers will work on me, you are more foolish than I remember, there may have killed my brother but will not kill me" I tried to picture him on fire, fallen to the ground screaming as he burned, yet I heard nothing, saw nothing.

After that I run at him shifting middle air as I attack him, I manage to bite into his arm as he throws us off him, he then shifts into his own wolf. He turns to go for my neck but my shield stops him, my powers may not work on him but my shield can stop his attack. Even with the stone around his neck, that I had noticed after I had tried to burn him alive. I need to get that of his neck some how and fast.

"Luna, where are you" Paul asked in the link, I send him a snap picture before turning back to matter at hands.

I try claw at Luke neck but he moves out of the way, I jump mid air going in for the kill. I was just about to jump on his back when Paul runs into his side throwing him to the floor making me miss my kill, my wolf growls in warming.

"His mine" I say making Paul back off and bow down In submission.

I bite down on Luke's back paws making him wimp from my hard bite, he try's to claw at my face but I quickly move back. As quickly as I could I grab a hold of his neck, biting the chain of him and throwing it across the room. I shift back into my human form, not bother that I was wear nothing at all.

"Shift" I command using the goddess within me. I watch with in seconds as Luke shifts back.

"You think by killing me you have won, they will come after you still"

"Who will" I ask keeping eye contact

"The king of us all, the one who made me" it was only then did I notice that Luke as not only a wolf, he had been bitten by a vampire, then only one who could bit a wolf and the wolf still live is no it's can't be.

"The king of vampires" I say shocked at this new, why would he want me and yet why work with rogues and hunters.

"You got in one princess" he says laughing to himself.

"It was all you, you made Connor turn again me the pack and everyone else around them, you told the vampires and hunters about me,why?" I had to know why. I could hear Paul's wolfs growling at Luke's words, hating that he was the reason I was been hunted.

"Why, because you had it all, even my brother and parents. They all loved you not one of them noticed me. I should of been alpha yet my brother got the title, why because you, so you see princess it is all down to you" his words ran through my mind as I take it all in, memories of when his parents asked me to pick who would be a better alpha. Memories of when we would all play together, his parents wishing I was their own daughter, Connor always following me around when we was younger, his father always showing me more love then the boys. I was the princess of the pack, yet losing my partner changed all that, they made me an outcast called me names, abused me even, that was why I ran away.

"I will find your king and I will kill him with my own hands, I will make him burn just like you will burn in hell. Paul take him back to the pack cells, make sure he rots in there" I say before walking out the run down pack house, seeing all the dead bodies around that the packs have taken down.

As I get ready to walk away and head back home, I picture it all set on fire and within a blink of an eye everything was been burned, from the bodies to the pack houses and all around it. I was left with nothing but memories of this place.
