Tina bounced impatiently on the balls of her feet, searching the docks for Newt's familiar mop of caramel hair. In this sea of gray, you would think he would be easy to spot. She finally saw him walking off after getting his bags checked. She ran up to him, throwing her arms around him and pressing her face into his neck so that she could inhale his scent that always reminded her of a warm summer day. "I missed you so much!" Tina said happily. Newt blushed before pulling back a bit to give her a quick peck on the lips. Tina linked arms with him before walking off to help Newt move in to his new apartment.
Newt's apartment was relatively cozy. A kitchen, a living room, a bedroom. Newt clicked on Muggle Worthy to pull out his clothes and put them in the dresser of the bedroom. Newt laid his compass and alarm clock on the bedside table. He clicked Muggle Worthy back off before climbing down and emerging with a coat hanger, which he placed near the door and hung up his coat and scarf on it. He lit a fire in the fireplace before sitting besides Tina on the couch and placing his arm around Tina's shoulder. Tina instantly curled up by his side, resting her head on his shoulder.
"I missed you," Tina said softly. "I missed you more," Newt replied with a small smile. Tina punched him playfully. "That's not possible, Mr. Scamander," she teased. Ever since Newt had left, she had felt like a huge hole had been ripped through her chest. Now that she was in his arms again, the hole felt completely fixed."So, have you been keeping your part of the deal?" Newt asked. Tina groaned. "No, Newt. I haven't found anyone better than you. Can we talk about something else?" Tina asked, but Newt was firm. "I find that highly unlikely, Tina. There's loads of guys better than me." "If there are, I haven't found one yet. None of those men are my type," Tina replied. "Your type?" Newt raised an eyebrow at her. "Yes, I have a type. And I've only found one person who fits."
"Who?"
"You, you lovable dummy!"
"I doubt that's true."
"It is!"
"Why did I have to fall in love with someone so stubborn?"
"Why did I fall in love with a dummy?"
Suddenly, Newt smiled and chuckled to himself. "What are we even arguing about?" he asked. "I'm not sure," Tina replied, grinning. Newt leaned down and kissed her gently. She responded eagerly. She really had missed his kisses. "I bet I could give a hundred reasons why I love you," Tina said when they broke apart. "If you can give me thirteen-" "Thirteen?!" Tina asked in disbelief. "Is that a problem?" Newt asked, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. "I'll never be able to choose only thirteen!" Tina exclaimed, causing Newt to chuckle. "I think you will have a lot of trouble coming up with thirteen reasons," Newt replied. "Challenge accepted. What do I get if I give thirteen reasons why I love you?" Tina looked up at him. "I suppose you will just have to wait and see," Newt chuckled before pulling her in closer and resting his cheek on her head. Surrounded by Newt's scent, Tina slowly drifted off to sleep.
