These Happy, Magical Years; A Newtina Fanfic

The First Reason

Tina awoke to find that Newt was already in the kitchen making breakfast. She slid off the couch and walked up to Newt, suprising him by embracing him. "Good morning!" Tina pulled back to press a kiss on his mouth. "Good morning," he replied after they broke apart. "What's for breakfast?" Tina asked. "Um, just some tea and toast. Did you want coffee?" Tina nodded, and Newt set straight off to work. Tina admired him from a distance. His hair was twice as rumpled as it usually was, and he looked messy, but it was insanely attractive. She watched the way the muscles on his arm moved and flexed as he worked. How could a man who was so muscular be so gentle? Newt turned and the morning sun highlighted his freckles that made him seem less wizard and more like a god.

"Is everything alright?" Newt asked, checking himself for something out of place. "Everything is perfect Newt," Tina replied, reaching outto stroke his cheek, just to make sure he was real. His flesh was soft and warm, just like she remembered. She pulled her hand back. "Reason number one," Tina said, "You are insanely good-looking. Not that it matters too much to me, but it is a nice bonus." Newt looked startled. "I-I'm what?" he stammered. "Good-looking. Attractive. Handsome." Tina stopped herself before she kept going with a million other similar adjectives. Newt ducked his head to try and hide his blush. Even when he blushed, he looked hot. She kissed his cheek before asking, "Has no one ever told you that you are handsome?" "Um, n-no that's a f-first," Newt stammered. "Well, I'm going to tell you that every day for the rest of your life whether you like it or not," she declared. Newt turned three shades of red darker. "Has anyone told you that you're beautiful?" Newt asked in a hoarse voice. That question threw Tina off guard. "Um, no, usually people are talking about Queenie-" Newt cut her off with a small kiss that was over all too soon. His eyes were filled with love as he said, "I think you are twice as beautiful as Queenie will ever be."
