May, Max and I were outside of the Gym, where Caroline and Norman were ready to say goodbye to us for our Journey together.
"Now, Serena, you better keep a close eye on these two." Norman said to me. I knew he was just like Clement and Bonnie's father, Myer who had an alias as Blaziken Mask when we were travelling in the Kalos Region.
"Don't worry about it, Norman. I'll keep an eye on them to make sure they wouldn't be in any trouble. Besides it's not my first time traveling with siblings."
May and Max were impressed of how calm I was of traveling with siblings.
"You really don't mind if we argue sometimes?" May asks nervously.
I laughed, "It's not a big deal, May, like I had said, I travelled with siblings before. In fact, they are friends of mine."
"That's very cool, Serena! Say, since you're new in Hoenn Region, how about we go to Professor Birch's lab?" Max suggested.
I was confused. "Professor Birch?"
May said, "You'll like him, Serena. He's good family friend of ours."
We arrived in a new place called Littleroot Town and May said, "Max, race you to the lab!"
"No fair, you got a head start!" He yells after his sister as I thought, "They remind me of Clement and Bonnie."
When we arrived, May said, "Beat you!"
"Ah, May and Max! I assumed it was you two."
We turned to see a man wearing a lab coat.

"Hi, Professor! We thought of stopping by before we leave for May's Contest." Max explains to the Professor.
"Well, I got to say, Max, congratulations of getting your Pokémon Trainer's license. I am excited for you." Then he notices me.
"Oh, who is this?" He asks May and Max.
"This is our new friend, Serena Yvonne. She came all the way from the Kalos Region." May introduces me.
"Welcome to the Hoenn Region, Serena! I'm Professor Birch. I'm a researcher for Pokémon. And since you're new here, I'll give you this."
It was a brand new Pokedex!
"Wow, a new Pokedex! Thanks a lot, Professor!" I said, thanking him as I put the new Pokedex into my pocket.
"With that Pokedex, it contains all information about the Hoenn Pokémon." Birch explains.
"Awesome!" I said, feeling excited to catch my first Hoenn Pokémon.
