He opened the creaky fridge that didn't keep his food cold enough and noticed there was little in there; or nothing he was interested in consuming anyways. He sighed.

"Looks like it's cigarettes for dinner again."

His dog came prancing around the corner, hungry and eager since his owner had been gone all night again.

"One moment Makkachin." The male says, attempting to light a new cigarette before he got his brown poodle food.

He tried to light it, once, twice, three times before cursing under his breathe. The male walked to his bedroom, and opened one of many big boxes. He threw the white lighter Yuri had gave him into the box, along with countless other lighters that didn't work.

He had been smoking ever since he was 18, ever since he fled Russia and moved to Japan. He kept all of his lighters that didn't work anymore, after he used them all up.

The male through the years have accumulated hundreds of lighters through the years.
