Yoongi's POV
I was able to get the annoying little freshman his glasses back and then he started to get all nice with me but, I knew I couldn't let him for his own good.
Days went by after I gave him back his glasses but I've been avoiding him. I know he's trying really hard to make an approach but I never let him get too close. I don't know why I keep doing this or why I'm so closed up and won't let anyone in my life, but I guess that's just me.
One afternoon, a normal one just like the others, I was at my usual cafe, the one that was closest to my dorm. I was working on my music when I saw Jimin ordering something. I didn't pay much attention until he got his coffee then turned around and bumped into a senior jock, spilling all the coffee on him.
"You little shit! Watch where the fuck you're going!" He yelled and grabbed him by his shirt and was ready to punch him.
I ran out of my seat and stopped him.
"Wait wait!" I lowered his arm, "he didn't mean to, he's still new as you can see, have some sympathy for the freshies." I said trying to cover up for him.
"Is he your friend?"
"Yes." I said nonchalantly and looked at Jimin that was scared shitless.
"Well tell him to be careful around here. This isn't high school anymore." He glared at Jimin one last time and then walked away.
"You okay?" I asked but Jimin was looking down, obviously still shocked by the situation.
"Jimin?""Why did you try and play the hero?" He spat.
"A simple 'thank you' will suffice, you brat."
"I could've handled it."
"No you couldn't have. You're so small and they are big senior football players. I'm not saying you're weak, but they are mean. They could beat me too, you just have to learn your way around them. Anyway, just be careful."
"Thanks..." he said, almost inaudibly.
"You're welcome. Um, do you maybe want to sit down with me? I'll get you another coffee." I offered but he didn't answer.
"Okay, I'll take that as a yes." I said, "what would you like?"
He finally looks up at me, "Vanilla latte?"
"Sure thing."
I ordered his latte and carried it myself to my table so he wouldn't bump into someone again, not that I'm any less clumsy but, I tend to have better luck.
I placed the cup in front of him as he sat across from me."You're a shy one..." I said and looked at my work once more, then closed my laptop and looked at him, my eyes scanning his every feature. His pink lips, his red cheeks, his dark eyes and then his adorable small hands.
"You don't talk much..." I pointed out.
"But you talk too much." He finally said.
"Me? You're an annoying freshman that's always bumping into people, what's worse?"
"Uh, why am I even talking to you...I should go." He says and takes his coffee and tries to leave but I grab his hand before he does.
"Wait...please stay. I'm sorry."
"No...I have to study. Thanks for the coffee and standing up for me, but I have to go..."
I let go of his hand and he walked away, even though I wanted him to stay. I may I have told him not to talk to me, but maybe he's worth a shot. After working on music, I decided to go back to my dorm and make a cup of noodles because I was too lazy to go anywhere else to eat. They weren't lying when they said that you'd live on noodles when you go to college. It's been going on for 3 years.
