A/N: Dah Gawjus Jefferson Davidson to dah...over there xD >>>>>>>>>>>>
I slumped into a seat far enough back that I could hear the lecture and not get noticed. I hated it when the girls teased me about how I looked. They either called me girly and didn't take me seriously at all or they called me Emo becaus thats just the style of dressing I choose (they're such fuckheads). They're also responsible for my most recent assignment.
To investigate a crime or a criminal.
How the fuck am I supposed to do that?
The professor walked in and promptly began his lecture as soon as he was settled. Even though there was only a few people who were actually present out of like fifty people, he carried on as if half of his class wasn't absent at all.
As usual the professor talked about how to cease evidence and how to properly preserve them and I took what little notes I could take. The class went by fast and without me realizing and now already people are filing out of the class and signing out to show they were present in today's lecture.
I slid out of my seat and made my way down to the front of the class where the exit stood. The professor nodded at his students including one particular one I didn't recognize. There were more than fifty people in the class and it's not possible for me to know them all and even most of them are almost always absent, but this person was completely unrecognizable...or was he just recognizable to the extent of being unrecognizable? Does that even make sense???
His hair was long and loose and was dyed many crazy colors and his skin was frighteningly pale as if he was always cold. Actually, he did seem familiar. I've probably seen him somewhere on campus.
Before I could walk out the door, the professor grabbed my shoulder and stopped me.
Tch! Damn
"Having any luck with your assignment, laddie?" The professor asked me in his faint irish accent.
"Uhh, I've actually got an investigation I'm currently working on..." I said in a high voice. Damn, I hated it when I did that. The professor looked surprised, as if he wasn't expecting me to find one so quick.
"Oh? What is it then" he speculated. I scratched the back of my head and smiled bitterly.
"You see, someone stole a precious item from me and I'm doing an investigation on that...".
"Aye...your own crime? Are you sure you're not going to bring me a biased report?" He continued to speculate my not-so-wise decisions.
"No way Professor. I'm going to give you a full non-biased report on my investigation. Complete with evidence and all that other stuff.." I replied nervously. I really hated talking to adults.
The professor rubbed his scratchy chin and sighed. "You better give me the best, and nothing but the best if you want me to pass you in this class" he finally said after five long seconds. I nodded and said "yes sir" and hastily took my leave.
"Don't forget to sign out, lassie!" The professor yelled through the door. I froze in my tracks and back pedaled.
"Uhh right! I almost forgot" I said sheepishly. I could hear people (Mostly females) snickering in the background. Blood rushed to my cheeks and I feverishly signed my name out. I hadn't noticed at the time, but the professor had called me a "lassie"! That means "young girl"! I'm not a freaking young girl!
Damn you people, can't you mind your own damn business?!
I speed walked my way into the hallway and kept my head low. I didn't even bother going to my next class. I just wanted to get out of this stupid college and get some fresh air. Why did I even apply to the University of Texas!!??!?! I could've gone to any college I wanted, so what possed me to choose my own hometown!? I fucking hate this place!
Thoughts of hatred and regret continued to file into my mind as I stormed out and onto campus grounds. I ignored anyone who tried to greet me and continued on my path of rage. I needed to break something and release all this stress, but there's nothing I can actually break and not regret it. Nothing at all.
As soon as I was off campus ground I sprinted to a nearby park threw myself on the mulch. Sure it looks safe and harmless and soft, but underneath the freshly laid mulch was just hard concrete. My back is probably bruised or something, but whatever.
The late afternoon sun was melting the little snow that was left from a previous storm and was beating down on my pale face.
Good, let it burn my skin so I may have a plausible excuse to stay at my despressing little hole and just be an asshole. An asshole who lives in a hole.
I don't know how long I laid there in the mulch, but eventually I drifted to sleep and when I woke up, it was dark.
"Oh shit!" I cried as I jolted up. I got up and brushed the mulch off my pants and searched to grab my bag. I didn't even notice the figure who was casting the shadow upon me until I looked at him.
"Jeff!" I gasped and almost dropped my bag, but I managed to scramble for it in mid-air.
Jeff looked surprised for a moment, then he slowly smiled.
Wait, doesn't he always smile?
"Oh, so you recognized me even in my disguise?" He said as if he was flattered.
"Disguise...?" I murmered to myself. It was true, he looked different from before. One obvious difference was that his mouth wasn't carved, how the fuck did that happen? His hair is the same as the guy I saw before....Is this guy stalking me?
"Yup!" He cockily grinned and made a peace sign with has hand.
I squinted my eyes. "You didn't come here to stab me by any chance...did you?" I asked suspicously.
"No shit! Why do you think I'd bother to follow you if I didn't plan on hurting you, dumbass" he retorted like I was stupid or something. I probably was at the moment because right now I'm very dumbfounded.
"Oh, well if that's the case I'm just gonna...heh heh heh.. umm" as soon as i finished those unfisnished words I bolted for the gate and tried to jump it, but my bag was slowing me down and by the time I had realized it, Jeff had already caught up to me.
"Woah! Did you honestly think I'd let you go after you embarrased me like that" He said as soon as he got hold of one of my injured arms. He pulled his knife from his back pocket and brought it up to his lips.
My eyes grew wide as he softly kissed it and reeled it back, his face slowly morphed into his original look. He leaned in close to my face and whispered.
"I want you to beg...beg for your life"
"Fuck no! I ain't begging for anything, fuckhead!" I growled, letting my pride get the best of me.
"Then go to sleep"
I instinctively used my free and also injured arm to sheild myself and closed my eyes awaiting for the grusome pain to strike in some part of my body. Only, instead of the feeling of the blade piercing my vulnerable skin, I felt something soft press against cheek. I opened my eyes.
Jeff stared back at me with his lidless inky black eyes and his apparently fake lips.
"What...?" i croaked in complete amazment. I'm not dead, hurray!! But jeff kissed me, whaattt???!??
"I said go to sleep" he whispered again and for some strange reason, I felt compelled to obey him. Maybe it was because I didn't want him to change his mind and kill me. Or maybe the weird tingling sensation that seemed to spread to the rest of my body from my cheek was somehow simulating my brain to make it fall asleep. I fell alseep either way once I closed my eyes.
