On the seventh day, Luke asked if I would try on a dress for him.

I hesitated. I knew it seemed silly to constantly hang around in the dress section of a clothing store and not want to try on dresses, but I didn't want him to be disappointed when he actually did see me in one. My body, my shape--it wasn't all that impressive.

"You don't have to if you don't want to," he told me quickly, colour rising to his cheeks.

But I decided to do it for him.

He picked me out a dress--one that was nice but not too nice. It was flattering but not revealing, classy but not trashy. I vaguely wondered why he had such a nice eye in clothing, but figured it was unimportant.

When I stepped out of the cubicle in the dress, he actually smiled.

"You look beautiful."
