Who Shot First?

Previously-
He went down on one knee, blonde hair obscuring his face. Fighting stalled for those few seconds. He looked up an evil smirk on his face. A glint of silver reflected the sun and a gunshot rang out.
Now-
All three Avengers jumped back in alarm. In the apartment, Lily screamed. She just knew that one of her boys had gotten shot. She knew Iron Man was okay- he had enough armor- but Steve and Sam had just uniforms on. On the TV, the kneeling man slowly tipped over and Lily saw an angry gunshot wound in the middle of his forehead before a 'We Are Experiencing Technical Difficulties' message flashed on the screen.
Banging suddenly on the door scared her and she screamed again. With a great crash the door splintered inwards and in the doorway stood a blonde woman holding a gun. 'Haelilia Davis?' The newcomer asked. Lily could do nothing but nod- still terrified. 'I'm Sharon Carter, part of S.H.I.E.L.D stationed in the area to keep both Steve and you safe. We need to move.'' Foot tapping the woman pointed at the door.
''Okay- wait, I need to get some things!'' Sharon shook her head as if to say either she couldn't take anything with her or that they did not have enough time. But Lily disregarded this. She ran into the shared bedroom and slammed the door. Breathing heavily, she grabbed her small suitcase and started throwing shirts and pants for both her and Steve.
In the midst of her doing this, she heard a colossal slam and a lot of gunshots ringing from the living room. She paused packing and tentatively peeped out the door. A feeling like an electric current ran down the hall shocking the door handle. An odd feeling filled Haelilia, and then a deafening boom blasted the door off its hinges and threw her back onto the bed beside her suitcase. She bounced once then sat up. Coughing and fanning away the smoke she saw a figure fill the doorframe, backlit by the window in the bathroom. Lily scooted herself backward until she hit the headboard. Peering through the smoke she thought she saw a black uniform. The figure stepped in and she froze in fear.
This man was head and shoulders taller than she was and radiated intimidation. His face was what scared her. It was covered by a black rebreather and an advanced tactical optic bar that ran across his eyes. They stared at each other for two heartbeats and then Lily felt her fear turn to determination.
She was not going to be taken hostage in order to hurt Steve.
With a fortifying breath, she felt power run to her arms and saw the sparks light up the still smokey room. With a quick motion, Lily sent a lightening pulse towards the man. He grunted as he was hit. She could see his jaw flex as her stunning power racked his body. He took a step back and Lily pressed her advantage and sent pulse after pulse after the man. As he was hit, each time he stepped back.
Soon, she had backed him out of the room and into the hallway. He took a particularly hard hit and dropped to his knees and looked up at her, his visor cracked. She was so wrapped up in the intensity of her attacks that she did not stop to consider his look before pointing two fingers at the kneeling man and letting out a blast that blinded her.
The blast passed through the man and he continued to look at her. The man pulled the now shattered visor off his face and stood. Lily's eyes widened as the man started walking towards her. This time she was the one to step back. And again, as he stepped forward. Three more steps back while she tried to gather her power. The man kept getting closer and she found herself pushed up against the door frame. The man pulled out a gun, and aimed it at her. She flinched as it puffted. She felt a pinch at her collar and reached up to pull out a needle stained with her blood. She staggered and dropped the needle. It clattered as it hit the wooden floor, splattering blood and whatever was in it against the wall and floor. She looked at the man and wondered why suddenly there were three men. And why was the edge of her vision getting dark? And why was the floor suddenly under her head?
