Chapter 17: The beginning of a tale

"CHRISSY DON'T" Oren screamed at her, trying to warn her of what she was about to do would have a huge impact on everyone

"You have no orders to give me anymore to me or anyone else!" Chrissy screamed at him, as her finger gently pressed onto the cement of the fountain. As soon as she did, her flower started to have a beautiful purple shine illuminating its center, which made the fountain water shimmer until a slight noise was heard from the center of it.

"What have you done!?" Oren asked Chrissy, as he simply could not believe what she just did

As he asked her that question, Chrissy allowed a tear to slide down her face

"I don't know, I just felt I had to do that" She whispered, as she started to notice that everyone around her was not under the control of Oren anymore, as they were fighting against the still loyal guards.

"What is going on?" Thomas asked himself loudly, as he turned in her direction, only to see her cry

"Chrissy?" He asked

"Dad?" She then asked him, trying to confirm she saved everyone

As she said that, Oren, who was standing up, shot Thomas right into where his heart was

"Fuck all of you!" Oren screamed at Thomas and Chrissy "You've ruined everything!"

"FATHER!" Chrissy screamed

As she did, her flower simply flew out of her hand and went into the fountain, which started to circle in mid-air, only to mysteriously materialize into a watery transparent figure with a humanoid body, holding the flower and bending down onto its knee in front of Chrissy.

"Thank you" It whispered robotically sounding

Oren, who noticed the figure, simply ran away back into his tower, scared about everything that just happened, as Chrissy was too distracted by the being under her.

"Who are you?" She asked at first, feeling like fear was pressing down onto her soul

"You mean, what am I?" He sarcastically asked her "You can call me-" it started but couldn't finish, as a bullet pass right through him and almost reached Chrissy.

"Chrissy!" Slappy, Jenny, and Spyke yelled, happy to see their friend alive

The group made the watery mass disappear when Chrissy started to tear up while her flower went back into her tentacles.

"You guys..." She started, as she was trying to find the dead bodies of her parents, who seemed to have vanished

"Let's get out of here the same way you did 11 years ago!" Spyke told Chrissy, as he grabbed onto her hand

"B-but Oren!" Chrissy reminded him, wanting to seek revenge

"Am sure we can find him some other time, right now this place is chaos!" Slappy and Jenny told her, making her look around herself and realize that everyone was still fighting against Oren's loyal guards and that her parent's bodies were still missing

"Okay then" Chrissy signed, as she and the group started to seek a path through the crowd in direction of the ladder

The group successfully sneaked through the bullets and punches that were traded in between the crowded octolings, who had no idea of what to do other than seek revenge against Oren's entourage. The group was able to safely climb up the same ladder that Chrissy took 11 years ago, and reached the surface safely...
