Chrissy and Eric, after about half an hour, have finally reached the edge of where Inkopolis began. The under-construction roads and giant buildings always were so intimidating to her. For someone who spent their whole life in an underground facility, it was quite the view.

"Should we go to a different store?" Eric whispered to me, as they were dangerously approaching the megapolis

"We raided it twice, for sure they've guarded it better this time around, let's go a bit more west" Chrissy proposed back, as they began to slide their backs into a half-built house wall

No guards were in sight just yet, makes sense, why guard something that isn't even done being built? A waste of resources, for sure they would guard the finished parts of the giant city.

"I'm sure there's a store in the new residential area, let's look for it!" Eric pointed out, as they slid deeper into the city

Inkopolis never failed to be so intimidating. Even from an unfinished area, the sight of Inkopolis Tower from afar, circled by the legendary Zap-fish never fails to get anyone who passed by to be stunned. In a way, any octoling envy's where and how the biggest concentration of Inklings lived. Yes, Jellyfish and many other species live with them, but being part of the only race not welcomed sure made you feel excluded from all the fun they seemed to have.

"Over there!" Eric claimed as he snapped Chrissy out of her daydreaming with an aggressive toss of his finger to show a grocery store on the horizon

"Alright, but let's be careful, it's dangerously close to the finished area" Chrissy informed her friend, as they started to advance closer to the store

Even the stores they use to steal their resources always amaze the octolings. Giant windows to show off their goodies, how can anyone resist? They must be so wasteful Chrissy thought to herself, as they arrived behind the grocery store in question.

"So from behind or above this time?" Eric asked as he pointed out a big enough vent to slide into above the building

Chrissy smirked at him, as she tossed her rope to the top of the building, which had a hook at the end. They both climbed up and quickly took the rope back up. Before doing anything else, they both were crouching, looking around the roof. Very flat, much not be too solid Chrissy though.

"Let's be careful this roof doesn't seem too thick, they could hear us crawl" Chrissy pointed to Eric, whispering

Eric simply nodded, as he was busy gently unscrewing the vent they would use to enter the grocery store. They forgot to bring a screwdriver, luckily, Eric had a handy pocket knife, which he used to twist out the screws. I gotta learn that trick one day Chrissy thought, as she helped him remove the vent dust trap.

"Last time I was the one on watch, I'll go in alright ?" He asked her

"Sure, but make sure to not breathe too harshly, it always tilts them when it's you!" She informed him, as she helped him slide into the vent

Eric carefully slid down into the vent, going down into the store with the rope she had brought with them. During that time, Chrissy simply laid her back against the edge of the roof, glaring under the store, making sure no guards were around. She couldn't help but start daydreaming, staring at the buildings being built, roads being paved and inklings citizens walking through the city, smiling. Why can't we enjoy life as much as them? She asked herself, rolling her eyes, as she would always end up with that same question. She did not personally go after any inklings, ever! One of the few things she remembered about her parents was how they also, just like her, wished that both they and the inklings could achieve peace again. To her, so far, it seems to be a foolish dream, as she had yet to meet an Inkling with the intention of helping them...
