(Trixie's PoV)
I stood up as Loki walked over to me. Before I could say a word he hugged me, and I hugged back. Tears streamed down my face. I couldn't believe he was here. I don't care why he wasn't dead, I just cared that he was here.
"I missed you, so much," Loki whispered and I was shocked. No one had really ever missed me, or cared that I was gone.
"I missed you too," I said and I think it had surprised him when I said that. As the hugged ended I could just barely see the faintest tear stains on his face. "How are you here? I thought you were dead," I told him. He explained about how he thought he was going to die, but he didn't and when guards came looking for him and Thor in the dark realm that he took on the form of a guard to get back to Asgard. As he finished explaining he still had more to tell me.
"But," he began to speak but he stopped himself.
"You have to go, don't you?" I asked. Loki merely nodded and I just barely held back the tears.
"I'll come back to visit you, will you be ok?" he asked me with some concern in his voice.
"I'll be fine," I assured him, and with that he walked away. "Yeah, I'll be fine....," I whispered as Loki vanished from my sight. I stood there for a moment, trying to determine whether this had all been some crazy hallucination or not. It could've been just for the fact that I haven't eaten in at least three days, and I've had a headache from the fatigue and dehydration. I then realized that I couldn't stay in here forever, no matter how badly I tried. So I decided to head back to Stark Tower. As soon as I entered the lobby I caught the attention of Jane, and Darcy who had been talking down there. Jane rushed over and hugged me.
"Thank goodness you're ok!!" she said as I returned the hug. Darcy rushed over too.
"So....are you....well, better?" Darcy asked trying not to make the situation.
"No, but....but I couldn't stay in there forever," I said letting the pain show.
"Let's go tell the others that you're back," Jane said as she ended the hug.
"Are they mad at me?" I asked.
"No, and even if they were they be too relieved you were back to be mad," Darcy said and it kind of cheered me up. As we walked over to the elevator, I couldn't help but wonder if any of them actually were mad at me. When the elevator opened up everyone was relieved to see me ok.
"Thank God you're back," Steve said as everyone stood up and walked over to me. I didn't say anything. I felt like an idiot for locking myself in there.
"You know none of us are mad at you for what you did, don't you?" I heard Thor ask.
"Yeah, I know," I said with a fake smile, and Jane and Darcy didn't really seem to notice that I was lying. Seriously, I expected Darcy to be able to tell.
"You sure?" Tony asked and the question took me by surprise.
"Yeah," I told them. Tony didn't buy it but he didn't say anything about it. It was now pretty late and everyone had left. I was headed to bed when Tony walked over.
"Trix, are you sure you're alright?" he asked.
"I'm fine. . .and don't call me that," I told him as I walked into my room.
"Ok, goodnight Trix," he laughed. I shut the door with a grunt. As I fell asleep I felt my bed shake.
"Trix!" a voice said as my eyes shot open. To my surprise it wasn't Tony playing a prank. The bed had stopped shaking as I looked around the room. Nothing was out of the ordinary. It looked like how I left it. I shook it off as I went back to sleep, hoping I could actually get some.
"TRIX, HURRY!" a voice yelled as my eyes burst open again. I breathed heavily as I leaned out of my bed and looked around. There was something about the voice that was familiar but it felt unfamiliar at the same time. It didn't make sense. That's when I noticed it. The window, that had a perfect view of the abandoned building, was now open. I looked at my door, and it was locked so no one could have gotten in. I stood up and walked over to the window. A cool breeze ran by, and the city noise poured in. I stared at the building before closing and locking the window. I walked back over to the bed when I heard a noise. The noise of a window opening. I slowly turned to see it was open again. I got the notion that maybe I was supposed to go there. Anyone else would've told me I was crazy, but hey, maybe I am. I mean I'm the girl with ice powers so I can't get any weirder or crazier right? Knowing that Tony hardly ever wakes up in the middle of the night, I left a note in my room saying I had went to get myself breakfast from somewhere, so it would look like I hadn't been gone long. I snuck out of my room, leaving the door unlocked, and headed to the elevator. I then snuck out of Stark Tower and headed to the building. Having no idea what I would fun.
