"Oh my god she's waking up!"

"(First name) is awake! Quick someone get the doctor"

I groaned as my family and friends shouted, running around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. This definitely isn't something I missed while I was engulfed in that never ending darkness. "Can you guys quiet down? My head is pounding." My voice was hoarse, and my throat was scratchy. I guess that's what happens when you're unable to drink anything for a couple of months.

"O-oh! We're sorry, (First name). I guess we got too excited when we seen you open your eyes." My best friend, Sammy, smiled sheepishly, her pearly white teeth sparkling just like I remember.

Soon, everyone was talking just as loudly as they were before I asked them to be quiet. It didn't surprise me, however, since this was my family we're talking about. I was unable to get a word in due to all of the chatter and happy tears. At some point, the doctor finally came in and said that I wouldn't need to undergo any testing. Since I didn't have a head injury and had already received multiple blood transfusions, he said that I should be fine. The doctor did recommend that I shouldn't be left alone after the released me tomorrow and decided to place me on antidepressants. I didn't argue with anything he said.

After my doctor, Mr. Fischbach I believe was his name, left, everyone pulled me into a giant hug. I hated group hugs, but I had no idea what kind of hell I'd put them through and felt as though I didn't have a right to complain.

I silently glanced at everyone before they left, taking in their facial features for the first time in months. I recognized everyone except for a young man in the back. He had black hair, a sharp jaw line, stunning brown eyes, and surprisingly nice eyebrows. When he noticed that I was staring, a smirk graced his already handsome features. I had to admit that he was extremely handsome. As I opened my mouth to ask him his name, he suddenly disappeared. Running a hand through my (hair length and color) hair, I sighed.

'Great. I've been out of a coma for a good day and I'm already seeing shit.'
