Being owned by a demon wasn't so bad once you got used to it. Within a matter of days after being marked for the second time, I managed to learn all of Dark's ticks and what set him over the edge. Sometimes I used this to my advantage, teasing and annoying him just until his snapping point. Most of the time, however, I would mind my own business and avoid upsetting him. Dark was scary when he was pissed off, and I was certain that I haven't even seen the half of what he can do. Anyways, let's get back to the story.

I was back at Shallot University, sitting in my uncomfortable seat, listening to the professor drone on and on about normal distribution. The 68, 95, 99.7 rule and all that. I honestly couldn't care less about the topic. I really should have tested out of college math. Dark sat to my right, his large hand squeezing my smaller one. Oh, incase I forgot to mention it, Dark now attends my college and went by the name Mark. We have every single class together. I can never get Dark out of my hair. It's starting to get annoying.

After what felt like an eternity, class was dismissed. I quickly shoved my things into my bag and headed for the door. Dark wasn't too far behind me.

"Hey, (First name)! Do you wanna hang out this weekend?" Sammy showed up out of nowhere, her long red hair bouncing as she started walking next to me. Since Sammy was, and always will be, my best friend, I nodded enthusiastically.

"I'd love to ha-"

"No. (First name) can't hang out with you this weekend." Dark's arm went around my waist, pulling me closer. I felt his fingers roughly digging into my hip bone. "Now if you'll excuse us, we really must be going now."

Sammy looked flabbergasted as Dark pulled me in the opposite direction. I looked at her apologetically, mouthing an 'I'm sorry' to her. My already short fuse was about to run out. Normally, I could bite my tongue and deal with most things, but making decisions for me and dragging me away from my friends was something I could not put up with.

I forced my way out of Dark's grasp, giving him a glare that could make a man drop dead. Dark wasn't a man though. He was a demon.

"What the actually hell was that about 'Mark'?! You can't make my decisions for me!"

Dark looked at me like I was stupid. The look he gave me was almost like the look someone would give you for trying to order a taco at a burger place. "Yes, I can. You belong to me now, so I decide what you can and cannot do. Don't you understand that, kitten?"

While his words came out slow and in a gentle manner, I could hear the threatening tone underneath. Dark actually believed that he would be controlling me from now on! If he thinks that, he has a big storm coming.

I huffed, crossing my arms over my chest. "Fine. Let's just go home." No, I'm not accepting defeat. Not at all. At home, in the bottom left drawer of my dresser, I had a special card. One that would let me go see Satan any time I wanted. Like I said, if Dark thinks he can control me, he has a big storm coming.
