Dark's Point Of View

"Child. You must start treating (First name) with more respect."

I rolled my eyes at my father. He came across as too nice to be the king of hell. You'd think he would be a hard ass, refusing to say a kind word to anyone. My father was quite different from expectations though. He was kind until you pissed him off, and that's when the horns came out. "Why should I? I already own her. It's not like she can go anywhere."

"That's where you're wrong, Dark. This young woman is special. She can easily break your bond if she wanted to."

I scoffed. "No mere mortal can break a demons mark."

"She isn't a mere mortal, you idiot!" I seen my fathers horns starting to come out. I wasn't sure why he was so angry, but I knew he was going to let me know. Satan is a very vocal guy when he's pissed. "She's an offspring of God, banished to the mortal realm until her powers awaken. You cannot and will not risk losing her! We need her on our side, or else we're all doomed."

I could feel my jaw hanging open. I had marked God's daughter. I had God's daughter within my grasp. I had been controlling God's daughter. I couldn't believe this.

"You will continue attending classes with her, but you will not control her. Use the shadows to your advantage. Follow her around from within the shadows if you so please, but do not control her, or else we may lose her."

I nodded in understanding, causing my fathers horns to retract. "I understand, father. Now, we'll be going." I took long strides, quickly leaving my fathers room to find (First name). I found her sitting outside in the corridor, her hands fiddling around with beautiful hair. I suppose I should start treating her more like a goddess now, considering she is one. I held my hand out to her. "Are you ready to go, kitten?"

She nodded and bit her bottom lip. Damn that was hot. (First name) placed her small hand in my larger one, and I pulled her up. I sensed another presence as (First name) got onto her feet. It was a presence I could recognize from anywhere. Anti was near. "Let's go, kitten. It isn't safe here."

"Yeah. Let's go home, Dark."

I wrapped my arms around her waist, and she placed her head on my chest. I couldn't help but smirk. (First name) had never done that before now, and I liked it. I snapped my fingers, teleporting us to my house in the mortal realm. (First name)'s stuff appeared with us. She stared up at me in confusion. "It'll be safer for you to stay here." I held onto her tighter. "I'll explain everything you need to know in due time. So for now, I need you to trust me." I couldn't let her stay at her place. Not with Anti lurking.
