Gabriel looked back at the open door when he heard Sam panting, smiling as he heaved a large box onto the bed. He motioned for Sam to come over, pointing out the window where several girls were moving into the girls' dorm just across from them. It had made Gabriel snicker when he realized that it was called Samuel Hall.
"You sure got a lot of girls inside of you," Gabriel commented, pointing out the name with a smirk, the tip of his tongue poking out when Sam rolled his eyes in exasperation at Gabriel's joke.
"That doesn't even make sense, Gabe," Sam said, turning to grab a box from Castiel as he walked in, giving him a grateful look as the man hurried back out of the room to get more. Moving boxes up three flights of stairs was not a fun experience, and Gabriel couldn't blame Sam for trying to put it off for a little longer.
"Well, no, because you're gay," Gabriel teased, earning a dark look from Sam as he skipped over to the box that Sam had brought in, looking down at it with a slight sniff, "Is that the only box you brought up?"
"Gabriel, it's three flights of stairs and some of this shit is heavy," Sam replied, and Gabriel knew that, of course, but when did he ever make anything easy for Sam?
"I'm sure it's not that heavy. You could probably carry me at the same time! It shouldn't be that hard," Gabriel said, nodding to himself as if that was the truth. Sam rolled his eyes, leaning against the bed behind him and taking a drink of the water bottle Gabriel had been so kind as to leave for him so he wouldn't dehydrate.
"You can walk. I'm not your pack mule," Sam answered, closing the water bottle lid and setting it back on the desk closest to the exit.
"No, you're my pack moose," Gabriel chirped, receiving a glare from Sam that had him grinning in response.
"I will get a new roommate, Gabriel," Sam threatened, though it was hollow and lacking heat.
"You wouldn't trade me. I have too nice of an ass," Gabriel countered, smirking when Sam rolled his eyes before leaving the room. Gabriel chuckled to himself at winning the argument before he dutifully pulled Castiel's box onto one of the beds, opening it and peering in, finding school supplies.
He placed it on the middle shelf of Sam's side of the room. Sam was the nerdy one, and he would keep it up much better than Gabriel would anyway. Finished, he turned back to see that Dean or Castiel must have placed another box next to the one Sam brought up and left.
Opening Sam's box turned out to be cleaning supplies, and Gabriel felt a little guilty at teasing Sam so hard, but not enough that he was going to apologize. He pulled the box close to the chair by the desk, standing on it and pushing one of the cabinet doors to the side, revealing two more shelves behind it.
He put the laundry stuff on the first shelf and the rest of the cleaning supplies on the second. He had to push himself onto his toes to reach and he could still only get them up there by stretching as high as he could and shoving them into place with his fingers.
He nearly jumped when warm hands touched his hips, looking down and seeing that Sam had encircled his arms around him, picking him up, "Seriously, Gabe. You're going to fall if you're not careful," Sam said with a roll of his eyes, setting Gabriel onto the ground.
Gabriel wasn't having it, though. Turning quickly, he wrapped his arms around Sam's shoulders, pulling himself back into Sam's grasp with a smile. Sam wrapped his arms around him on instinct and Gabriel pulled his legs up, clutching around Sam's waist stubbornly.
"Gabe, as much as I love carrying you like a monkey, I need to help Dean, Cas, and Mom before they get mad," Sam stated, and Gabriel shook his head, biting lightly on Sam's shoulder.
"You have to carry me to the bed, first!" Gabriel exclaimed stubbornly, though he grinned the entire time that Sam sighed. He swayed slightly with the movement of Sam's steps before his lower back touched the edge of a mattress. Sam let go, but Gabriel dragged him as he fell back, hugging him tightly and refusing to let go.
"Not around us, you horndogs," Gabriel heard Dean say, letting his head fall back so he could see the man clearly. He was standing there with two smaller boxes balanced in his arms. Sam tried to jerk out of Gabriel's grasp, but he held on tightly, a light laugh leaving his throat when he saw the beginnings of a blush on Sam's face.
"My house, my rules," Gabriel replied snarkily, giving Dean a grin when he rolled his eyes. His victory was short-lived, however, as Mary walked into the room, her eyes widening in shock when she saw the two of them.
"Samuel Avery Winchester!"
