~ Selena ~

I had sadly waved goodbye to Taylor as she boarded her flight back to L.A. Although I was the one asking her to go home, it didn't make me feel any better about seeing her leave. But that was in the past. It was my day off and I had nothing to do. Usually I'd fly back home and spend time with my family, but upon hearing Demi was staying behind, I decided to do the same. Earlier I had made it over to her tour bus only to spot a 'Do Not Disturb,' sign posted. So without much to do, I walked around the city.

We had drove just outside of Chicago, staying away from the city for two nights before we had to perform. Taylor and I had a previous conversation with Nick where she practically blurted out the information about our 'Spin The Bottle' Game. It was strange to hear Nick be so calm and collected about the situation, because I didn't think he would be. But I also felt guilty for not blurting out the information of the second kiss that happened between Demi and I.

"Selena Gomez!" Someone screamed off to my right, as I faced the little girl. Her parents were trying to calm her down as I happily took a photo and signed her t-shirt. She said she would be at the show in Chicago, and I thanked her and was on my way once again. I had been over thinking that first kiss so long that by the time I allowed the second one to happen, I lost all control of a rational thought process. I couldn't decide if that would be considered cheating or not, but I felt like it would. As I rounded my way back towards the tour buses, I stopped.

Just the thought of Demi was starting to stir up nonsense within me. I knew what was going on and it was only happening because she always had this hypnotizing aura around her. It wasn't just me who sensed it. She was good at capturing people and holding them close enough to want more but far enough to keep them guessing. I for one was not like all of these people she was going off to hook up with. I was her friend. Her best friend. And the past two days were a fluke and I was going to write it off as one.

For most of the day I sat in my trailer angrily studying my blank notebook. The words I jotted down were getting balled up and tossed one after the other onto the floor. There was no way I would have a new song by the next two weeks. There was no way. I heard a few voices near my bus and pulled the blinds down, spotting Demi happily bumping into one of the drivers. The guy had previously been driving around the bus of dancers and was now smoking a cigarette while laughing. He could defiantly choke on that. Demi's nose curled up at whatever was being said before she rose her notebook up in her arms and signaled towards a distant hill. The man gave a nod before she was on her way. I watched her for a minute or two before she sat against the grass.

The sunset was soon going to happen and I thought maybe that's what she wanted to witness. I ran towards the bathroom, taking in my look. I had on some shorts with a powder blue blouse, my hair falling against my back with curls from the earlier wind. I slid on my shoes and made my way outside. The man who Demi was once speaking to faced me.

"Is she watching the sunset?" I asked, as he shrugged. "You don't know?"

"She told me she was going up there to finish her song." The man took a long drag from his cigarette before tossing it on the ground and stepping on it. "She wants to be alone."

"I see." I ignored him, walking towards the distance, a sort of excitement bubbling over. The sky was turning into an orange and yellow type of glow as I reached the hill. Demi's head was down, her fingers quickly moving along the page as she wrote. I hesitated to go up to her, but doing as someone requested wasn't one of my best qualities. I took it one step at a time up the hill, watching the city sort of grow in the distance. I could see more and more of the buildings which surrounded the area. Just before I reached the top, I froze.
