Chapter Five - Hangout Together
School ends pretty quick.Still no sign of Ken the whole day and that's a good news.I hope it stays like that for the rest of the year.
I walked out of the school and off to the park. The park was full with little kids playing.I sat under the tree that me and Alan sat before.
I looked around the park,Alan was no where to be found.
"I guess he's late," I thought.
I plugged my earphones and played "Wrong - Marshmello" I looked at the children playing. They all played happily together. Some parents joined their children playing.
Someone but I assumed it was Alan pulled my left earpiece.I groaned as I glared at him.
He just laughed as I kept my earpiece in my hoodie pocket. He sat beside me and watched the children playing.
"Wish we could turn back time," he sang
"To the good old days," I continued
"I don't memories the song," he said and we both laughed.
"Same," I said between my laughed."Anyway, you ready to meet my brother?" I asked as we stopped laughing.
"Mm....y-yeah sure.Let's go," he said as he stood up.He hold out his hand and I took it as he pulled me up.
"Let's go!" I said and lead the way to the cemetery.
On our way there,Alan looked really nervous.I intertwined our fingers and gave him a smiled.
When we reached the cemetery,Alan gave me a questioning looked.
I just smiled and push opened the gate.We walked until we reached my brother tombstone.
"Alan, this is my brother. His name is Edward Oliver Warren. He is 23," I said as I sat in front of the tombstone.
Alan sat beside me and put his hand over my shoulder.
"I'm sorry for your lost," he said as he hugged me.
"Don't be sorry. It's not your fault,it's my fault he died," I said trying to hold the tears inside.
"What do you mean it's your fault?"
"I'm the reason why he's dead.If it wasn't of me he probably still alive right now," I said as tears fell down.I can't hold them in.
"Don't says that.I know it's not your fault," he said still hugging me.
"What make you so sure it wasn't my fault?" I asked
"I just know it," he said letting go of me and looked me in the eyes."What really happened?"
"He was on his way to pick me up from school but an idiot drunk driver decided to hit his car.The drunk driver is now in jail still alive while my brother stuck here in the ground," I said looking at my brother's tombstone.
"I'm sorry to hear that but it still not your fault. It's the stupid drunk driver's fault," he said.
"But my parents said it was my fault. My fault for letting him to pick me up from school and got hit by the drunk driver's car.My fault.Everything is my fault," I said covering my face with my hands.
Alan hugged me so tight that make me hard to breath but I don't care at all because his hug is so comforting.
"Don't listens to what your parents have to say and had said. It's not your fault, okay?" He asked holding my shoulders.
