Chapter Thirty Seven
"Game Over.Player 2 win"
"What the hell?! How is that possible?!" Alan cried out as his game character fell down in defeat after getting an uppercut from Emma's game character.
"Geez you're not really good with video games. It's like what? Your tenth lose?" Emma chuckled at how miserable Alan looked.
"I just let you win every round," he said. His cheeks were burning and he felt like someone just turned of the air-conversation.
"Sure I'll believe that," Emma chuckled while standing up and stretched her body.
"What game shall I beat you next?" she said and send a wink towards Alan who blushed madly but thank God he turned around to avoid Emma's stare or in other word he's trying to hide his tomato cheeks away from Emma's view.
Alan looked away from her and his eyes wondered around the arcade to look for the next game to play that he can actually beat Emma with.
"Let's play that" he said and pulled her wrist towards the game that he had picked.
"Oh I see it now. You're going to pick a game that you can relate to your job."
Emma said and chuckled. They stood in front of the drum set.Alan inserted the coins and set it into 2 players as Emma hold the drum sticks in both of her hand and got in position.
"Just so you know, I spend my most of my time at arcade so this game is nothing new to me," Emma said to Alan, eyes never leave the screen as he carefully watched Alan picked a song.
"And for your information, I am a producer so I'm pretty sure I know how to handle this. This game basically related to my job," Alan said with a small laughed.
"Guess we have to play and find out who's the better player" she said with a smug smile.
"Bring it on Warren"
"It's on Walker"
The song start and so the two competitive players tried their very best to beat each other.
For Alan, his pride not only as a producer but as a music artist was on line and of course he's trying his best to impress the girl he's with.
But for Emma, she's just chilling and enjoy watching her crush flustered over losing playing video games.
And yes Emma somehow in a way felt bad for always winning but she couldn't help it when everytime Alan lose he pout and god Emma tried her best not to squish both of his cheeks and kiss thoes lips of his.
'God Emma control your hormones!!'
That's what she had been telling herself the whole time they're in the arcade.Call her weird but she never actually fall for someone that hard like how she's falling for Alan.
Now back to their competitive match. It was a close call. Both of them have the same score as for now and none of them looks like they were playing for fun. It's more life or death kind of feeling.
They wore serious looked on their face, eyes never once leave the screen as they were so focus on what color to hit.Even with the air-conditioning was on full blast in the arcade, there's sweat slowly dripping down both of their cheeks which they didn't even bother to wipe away.
By now, they had gained a few attention from kids who happened to passed by.Some looked at the two players in awe as some looked at them weirdly as why these 2 foreigner was so serious playing the drum game.
It seems like it had been hours but in reality its only had been few minutes of them playing but few calls and text messages were missed and remained untouch.
But none of them even realize it.Emma and Alan just simply have their attention on the game. They were just in their own world with each other where they trying to both beat and impress each other.
