Elisha cannot stop crying. From that book, she found out a lot of things he had never told her ever. She did not know that he was that lonely. She did not know that he was thinking that way when he let her go.

Adam, it will be worth the pain, I promise.

The library seemed like the best refuge place for Adam right now. He was cuddling with his twenty-four year old bear while reading a book. He wondered if she even remembered about their special day. Because he remembered everything clearly. He would have asked her out for a date, give her some gifts that will make her swoon at him. He might kiss her deeply until he felt intoxicated with her sweetness.

He closed his eyes and leaned against his fluffy teddy bear.

Three days from now will be his blind date.

He sighed, thinking of how he should dress himself. He made some research about it, because he was simply pathetic. He had never been to dates except with Elisha. Of course, back then, he would just bring her to fast foods. Both of them didn't like too much formal things at that time.

Days passed like a blur, and he did not realize it was already the day for his date. During Fridays, he was usually on full load. No in-between breaks for him. At 5 PM, he went home with his brain about to explode, and his energy levels low as fuck. Sometimes, he hated being an introvert, for his energy would get depleted twice as fast as compared with extroverts. His throat was quite sore from talking too much. He had already taken some Strepsils, but he sipped some tea just to be sure he was not going to go on a date with a hoarse voice.

He went to his bedroom, hugged his teddy bear and took a nap after setting his alarm to 5:30 PM. He was beginning to lose consciousness when the alarm activated.

"Ugh," he groaned, groggily walking to his closet to pick some clothes for his blind date.

He chose a gray shirt and jeans, finishing it with his black windbreaker and Under Armour shoes. He stared at the mirror, checking his attire out. He ran his fingers through his hair several times. Check. He shaved his facial hair, because he wanted to look decent. Check. He gurgled on his favorite mint mouthwash, even if his tongue was on fire. Check.

He may not have confidence with himself, but he knew he was a looker.

He checked the time. He had an hour to drive himself to La Caravella. Throughout the drive, he listened to Fall Out Boy songs, making his mood upbeat even though he didn't really feel like it. At 6:30 PM, he arrived at the fine dining restaurant. He didn't really know about how the date was set up, so he dialed his mother's phone number.

"Mother," he said when his mother answered after three rings.

"You never called me before, sweetie," his mother replied, surprise laced in her tone.

He cleared his throat.

"Well, I am clueless about this blind date thing, but I am here in La Caravella. Who made the reservation?"

She chuckled, before saying, "Tell the waiter it's Karizza Vallega. 7 PM reservation. But wait, it's just 6:30, Adam. Aren't you a little early? Too excited for the date?"

"In case there's more traffic to expect, I made sure I will be a little early," he told her. "I don't really have plans today."

"I'll call you later when I get some updates about your date, okay?"

His mother finished the call, and Adam had no choice but to enter the restaurant.

"Good evening Sir!" the waiter greeted. "Do you have a reservation?"
