When they were inside the penthouse, she saw him quickly change his clothes. He was just wearing his boxers when he went to bed. He opened his laptop and began watching on YouTube. She felt like crying with his obvious cold shoulder.

"Kyrone," she tried calling him.

He did not respond, and a few minutes later, he was wearing his earphones. When she kissed his lips good night, he did not even blink an eye.

When he noticed Elisha was already sleeping, he turned off his laptop and hugged her from behind. He thought of the situation earlier, and he really did not feel like talking to Elisha. He was also thinking of the guy she was with earlier. He hated it.

"You're not mad anymore?" he heard her ask.

"I was not," he replied. "I was just... upset that you did not say yes."

She faced him. "I'm sorry. I will accept your proposal. Just, not now. I'm just your girlfriend right now, I guess."

He smiled a little. "So you're fine being my girlfriend, eh?"

"Why not?" she asked with a grin. "Meanwhile, I'll take a selfie with you. I'll just cover your face with a sticker so that my classmates won't see."

They took a bunch of selfies. Elisha uploaded one on Facebook with a serious sticker emoji on his face.

Meet my boyfriend, Eron.

He looked at her with mild surprise in his eyes. The engagement has to wait, I guess. As long as we're together, it doesn't matter.

She grinned. "Read the book. Confirmed."

Her index finger was pointing the large teddy bear on the side of the king-sized bed.

He smiled. "And you threw Eron in the trash can."

"It was my ex. Stupid ex," she mumbled. "I really love Eron."

"I really love you too," he hugged her afterwards.

Suddenly, Elisha's phone was blaring.

"Hello mom?" she answered cheerily.

"Uh yeah," she mumbled.

She frowned. "Eh? Why are you so sure it was Adam?"

Then the conversation was on loudspeaker.

"Because Adam always tells me you're staying for the night! It has been for the past month, and now there's a selfie of a guy with a sticker. I mean, why would you even need to hide who your boyfriend is? It's because he's a teacher and student-teacher relationships are forbidden!" her mom exclaimed. "I'll hung off. I'll be on Messenger. Better show me your face and your boyfriend's."

True to Mrs. Lopez's words, she asked for a video call in Messenger. Adam started to feel nervous. What if she did not like him because he was too serious and quiet?

"Don't be scared of mom. She roots for you," she said with a smile, before pressing the answer button.

"Hello?" Mrs. Lopez's face was shown in the camera. Beside her was her husband.

Adam began to feel more scared.

"Hi Mom!" she greeted, waving a little in front of her phone. "Here's my boyfriend."

Slowly, she showed his face on the screen.

"Good evening, tito and tita," he said, smiling a little.

"ADAM?!" the couple chorused.

"Oh my God!" Elisha's mother squealed. "I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT WAS YOU!"
