Gabriel pov
As Gabriel sat down for lunch, he noticed all his friends were occupied talking.
“So, what’re you guys talking about?”
“Did you hear, the new guy James is on our football, basketball, and swim team. We met him today and he is like, totally cool bro. You should go meet him, he’s sitting over there with Alex and Tiffany.” As Gabriel turned around to look at Alex, he stiffened when he saw James’s hand around her. He got up and walked over there and tried to look casual.
“Hey Alex. What’s up?”
“The sky.” James had answered for her which irritated Gabriel to no end.Especially since he was a mortal.
“Sorry, I was talking to Alex”
“Sorry, her name is KAT, K-A-T, not Alex” James retorted.
Gabriel looked over at her expecting her to stand up for Gabriel, but life was full of surprises wasn’t it?
“Well, actually, it’s ok if you call me Kat i guess” Alex shifted uncomfortably under Gabriel’s penetrating gaze.
Shocked, Gabriel smiled and said coldly, “Well sorry KAT but, i better go eat now."
As Gabriel walked back to his seat, his best friend Fang looked up at him and said, “I’m guessing nothing really went well there did it?”
“No! I thought Alex liked me after we spent all those weeks together. BUt, suddenly, out of nowhere that new dude just made Alex all different. She even sided with him about her new nickname.” huffed GAbriel.
“Well dude, you can’t just watch the love of your life walk away from you…”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean you brainless little, nevermind, but I’m telling you to make a move on her idiot!”
“Make a move on loverboys girlfriend?” Gassy said as he walked up to them with a basketball and his lunch.
“Hmmmm, maybe you’re right. I’ll ask her when we go to the the movies.” Gabriel smiled.
