As the Company travels on ponies, you have grown fond of the brothers, Fili and Kili. As you travel, you ride your pony far in the back where you and the Dwarf Princes were goofing off. One day, it was a regular day on horseback. Kili and you were teasing each other, while Fili rode his pony right in front of you. He was a little grouchy this morning but he didn't go far so he could at least hear the conversation you and his brother were having.

"So Y/N, you look ravishing this fine day." Kili smirked.

"I say you look rather dashing yourself, dear dwarf," you grinned back.

You could hear Fili in front of you growl at Kili's comment, but you ignored it. And the flirting continued.

"Your hair is glistening wonderfully in the sunlight, it shines of gold.

"When you smile, the whole company feels happier by the moment."

And each comment Kili makes, your face reddened by the minute. He was so kind, yet each time he said something, you can see Fili's shoulder tense in front of you. What is his problem?

"Kili!" Bofur called from over his shoulder, "Give us a hand, lad!"

Kili looked to you with his cheeky smile, "Until next time, fair lady."

You giggle and Kili rides up to the front. It is now quiet in the back of the company and you sigh. Then you notice Fili holds back his pony for a second to keep pace next to you and your own steed. You could see the frown beneath his braided, blond beard as he spoke.

"The word 'ravishing' is an understatement for you." He said.

You blush brightly with an astonished look. "Truly, dear Fili?"

"Truly. You are not ravishing. You are beautiful in every possible way, pretty dwarf."

You look away as blood begins to pump loudly in your ears. He thinks you're beautiful? He continues.

"Your hair may glisten in the sun and look of gold, but it also curls and waves as if it is a lovely, flowing river."

You smile to yourself and look towards your friend. Fili is now smiling, and it feels as if you have missed his smile dearly.

And speaking of smiles...he continues.

"When you smile, the company may feel happier, but it also lights up the whole world...and it makes my love for you grow and grow by the moment."

Your heart begins to flutter and beat so hard, you feel as if your chest will explode. Fili reaches over and grabs your chin gently. You look at him, your ponies trudge close together. Close enough for Fili to lean in and meet his lips with yours. It was warm and passionate. You close your eyes and began to kiss back. You can feel him smile between the kiss and when you part for air, your ponies make a sound of annoyance, making the two of you laugh really loud, making the rest of the company look back at the two of you with weird expressions.
