As you waited outside the mountain for Bilbo, you begin to worry. He's been in there for a while. A LONG while. You look around at the dwarves, they have not noticed. They probably don't care. You shake at the thought that your old friend might be...
No. Don't think that. He's coming back...
He has to.
At the startling moment, the ground began to shake and you yelp, everyone suddenly up on their feet and balance themselves at the rumble of something big.
"What was that?"
"Was that an earthquake?" You ask.
"That my dear..." Balin turned to you. "Was a dragon."
You pale and look at the Hidden Door. Bilbo was still down there!
"You have to get him out!" You begged Thorin.
"He is fine," he muttered.
"He woke the dragon!" Your voice rose. "It is obvious he is NOT fine!"
"I will not go down there! Not with the Arkenstone at risk!" Thorin roared. He had once despised you because you were a hobbit, like Bilbo. But your bravery and stubbornness brought him to the light and excepted Bilbo and you into the company. And now, you don't care if he started hating you again. All you can think about now is Bilbo.
"HE'S not safe!" you scream. "Forget your stupid Jewel!"
"HOW DARE YOU?!" Thorin's eyes almost looked like they had turned red. His fists clench at his side like he was forcing them back so he wouldn't hit you. But he was very tempted to.
"So the treasure is more important than an innocent life is that it?!" you turned red yourself.
"I will not risk the entire quest for the sake of one...BURGLAR." Thorin tried to calm down.
"Bilbo."
He looks at you, slightly confused. Balin smiled at your bravery for snapping at the Dwarf King like that. He had to admit, he was amazed at the courage of Hobbits.
"His name is Bilbo," you said almost more gently. "He is not a burglar, but a hobbit. And if your willing to risk my lover's life, then you may as well forget Erebor because I'd rather have Smaug KEEP IT!"
And with that, you storm into the mountain to save your husband.
