chapter 3: camp and friends

Leo's POV

So later that day like 7hours later I'm hanging around the forges teaching some of the new campers my siblings how to fire up the fire place when Jason comes running in.

"Hey Jason what's up"I ask him as I walk over to him "Chiron got an Iris message and he wants all head councilors to the big house" he said all out of breath "oh ok well let's go" I say and we head out of the forges and to the Big house.

In camp half-blood it was like any other day kids and teenagers either training sun tanning playing pranks or talking."Leo?" Jason says and I'm picked out of my thoughts into reality."yep" I say to him "were here" he says and I look up from my shoes and I see were at the big houses front porch."well come on" he says and I follow him inside.

Once inside I look at the wall their are old pieces of armour heads of defeated monsters on the wall and then I see the stairs that lead to the attic where the old orcal of Delphine used to be now she lives with Rachel Elizabeth Dare or how people like to call for shorter terms: red.

As we turn a corner their is a door leading to the rec room where we have our meetings.

when were both inside I see some of the head councilors I know: Travis & Connor Stoll head of the Hermes cabin, Katie head of the Demeter cabin, Annabeth chase head of the Athena cabin, Piper McLean head of the Aphrodite cabin, Jason grace head of the Zeus cabin, Percy Jackson head of the Poseidon cabin, Clarisse la rue hard of the Ares cabin, Will solace head of the Apollo cabin, and then me the head of the Heptusaus cabin and grover underwood.

"hello everyone as you've heard I sent you hear because I've gotten an Iris message from one of the many satyrs saying they have a demigod with and he's bringing her to camp"said chiron, when he said her my mind wondered to Andromeda could she be one of us."Her who and who's the satyr" ask grover "yah what the goat said" said Clarisse."well the satyr who bringing the demigod is Gavin fehr and the demigod well I can show you a picture he sent through the computer" Chiron said and we all sat down while he got the copes of the person ready for us to see and let's just say there were a few of us who said "she pretty" or "she looks like Percy" but for me and Percy the only thing we did was say "Andromeda".  This got us a few strange looks meaning Percy and I have to explain how we know.

"who's Andromeda" ask annabeth

"yah who is she" said piper "her name is Andromeda Larsen and me and Leo both know this because well we kinda bumped into her at Starbucks in the city" said Percy and now it was everyone's turn but mine to gap at us."funny story right" i said."Percy she looks just like you except for the fact she's a girl" said Jason "yah I know" Percy said.

"but ho-" Jason got interupped by the camps horn signaling something just happened.

Me and all the other including Chiron ran outside as Chiron glaped to see what happened. To everyone's surprise and I mean everyone the whole camp turned to see a satyr and a girl bound their way through the borders of camp. The satyr who name is Gavin looked at Chiron and Chiron nodded and carefully made his way to to the girl. To Chiron's surprise the girl didn't looked freaked out."hello I'm Chiron and you must be Andromeda" said Chiron and Andromeda nodded "do you know were you are and what you are" he said "I'm at camp half-blood I'm demigod and you sir are a centurar" she said."that is correct, now one more question do you know any demigods here" he ask and she nodded then said "Percy Jackson and Leo Valdez".

Andromeda's POV

So thanks to Gavin we got a cab and didn't have to walk 30miles to this camp but before we got a cab he ask for my water bottle and took it from my bag opened it and threw some of the water in the air it made mist and he threw a what looked like a gold quarter in the mist and said "oh Iris goddess of rainbows please show me Chiron camp half-blood" after that I totally zoned out as Gavin did his thank with the mist I kinda just stood looking at the clouds. After a few minutes Gavin got us a cab and we were on the highway in minutes.

An hour and a payed cab driver later and we were heading into a strawberry field which soon turned into a forest where a border lined tree was and we were inside the camp borders.

Now I would be lying if I said I wasn't amazed by all the details. My thoughts were disturbed by a horn going off and people making a circle around us. All of sudden some guy who I guess was a centuar cause he had the bottom half of a horse and the top half was all man.

The centuar's name was Chiron and he was the director of the camp and he kept asking me questions til I spotted to familiar people in the crowd the two guys from earlier this morning Percy and Leo, so when he ask if I knew anybody I of course said their names. Which by the way made everybody attention go onto them which I was greatful for I hate being stared at its creepy!."know Percy and Leo come here for a second" Chiron said to them both and the both came forward til the were beside him "Now Andromeda which one of these boys would you like to show you around" he asked and I was surprisingly tempted to ask Percy for some reason."um I pick Percy" I say and all I think is how that sounds kinda like the hunger games I volunteer for tribute. "ok its settled Percy you'll be her guide, now everyone go back to what you were doing" saids chiron as all the kids and teens went back to what they were doing.

"hey Andy can I call you Andy?" Percy asks "sure just as long as I get to call you kelpbrain" I said and he laughs "I'm guessing Gavin already told you about some of us"he ask and a smirk."yep" I say as I look up and see the beach "hey Percy can we go down to the beach first" I ask "yep sure".

When we got to the beach it was beautiful the sun high in the sky no clouds and a nice breeze every once in awhile that would bring the smell of the ocean, it was glorious. Before I knew I was sitting in the sand and digging my toes deeper in the sand, the water always felt right to me this beach brought back memories from when I was little in the foster homes one of the moms took me swimming in the ocean it was beautiful, all the fish all the creatures the sea really was a magical place."hey Andy?" said Percy "yah" "why are you crying"he said and I finally just noticed I was."just this place is magical the water the sand the beach has always felt home even if I could only go to the local swimming pools"I said and wiped my tear stained face.

"yep the ocean has always felt like my home too I remember every chance me and my mom got we would go to this cabin on the beach in montuak and we would swim for hours and hours it was just blissful" he said "I know what you mean". "hey wanna go for a swim or at least put our feet in the water" " yah sure".

The water wasn't warm nor cold it was simply average just the way I like it. I rolled up my jeans and bent down not carrying if they got wet, I cupped my hands together and put the down the water and brought them back off and splashed my face from the tears."Andy" Percy said worriedly "yah" "I think I know who your godly parent is" "who" "mine".
