Andromeda:
"Andromeda you have to eat the soup", my mother explained to me as she pushed the bowl back towards me. I shake my head and cross my arms. The chicken soup was to salty, there was barely any taste and it was just not appealing to me.
"Don't you want to get better?", once again I shake my head. Nothing in this world could get me to eat this bowl of chicken soup. It wasn't even homemade, it was from a can and it had those nasty pieces of 'chicken' in it. Sally gives out a sigh in defeat, taking the not so hot bowl of soup in her hands and walking out of my room. I take the wooden tray off my lap and place it on the floor by my bed, lying back down and covering myself back up with the covers. I silently counted how many blankets were on me. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Five blankets in total- well if you counted the sheet that went underneath the comforter.
Sick.
I hate being sick. My nose was stuffy, my throat was scratchy and I could barely even breath with my nose being plugged. No matter how many times I blew my nose it just wouldn't come unplugged. The two pillows that kept me for lying down, kept falling to the right side making it extremely uncomfortable for me. I had a high fever, my body was cold then it was hot. The blankets were a mess as I had to keep throwing them off and then back on. It was exhausting and my muscles just ached. I probably sound like an old lady right now.
I've been stuck in this apartment for a whole week and nobody but Sally was brave enough to enter the room. Percy, Paul, Annabeth and anybody who actually visited would just stand outside of the room - behind the closed door- and just talk to me that way. Nobody else really visits me, it's just Annabeth.
How did I get sick? Well, I guess it's story time with Andromeda.
Once upon a time Drew and I went to the bowling alley and it was raining, I had somehow caught the flew from having damp hair and how cold it actually was. The end.
Great story, I know.
I usually have a tan, but when I get really sick I end up going so pale I look like Casper the friendly ghost. My hair was sticking to the side of my face from the sweat I was producing from my fever and it made my hair all frizzy. My nose hurt to touch from being blown so many times it was now red and I could pull off being Rudolph's twin. I'm not kidding, I'm serious.
I don't think its possible to feel this sick, to feel this terrible. But it is, and it sucks.
"Andromeda, you have a visitor", I hear my mother call from outside of my bedroom door.
Probably just Annie - I think to myself as I bring the blankets up closer to my face. I close my eyes, not exactly thinking anyone would come into the room. But, when I hear the door open I just assume it's Sally.
"Yeah mom?" I ask, my eyes still closed.
"Um, I'm not your mom", my eyes shoot open as I hear the person's voice. A huge grin is plastered on my face - replacing the slight frown I had.
"Drew!" I say excitedly. I look at him, he wearing gray sweats and a blue sweat shirt, his blonde hair a tousled mess and his nose a dark red. His skin was about as pale as mine, maybe even paler and his forehead was covered in sweat. He gives me a small smile and waves at me awkwardly.
"You sick too?", he asks, stating the obvious. He might look like a mess, but he looked handsome never the less. I scooch over on the bed, patting the mattress. He raises an eyebrow but doesn't say anything as he sits on the bed on top of the covers. I give him a confused look. I look a little closer at him and see his lips were slightly tinged with blue and he was shivering.
