Say Somethin

Chapter 17

We got back to Austin's house and his mom made us dinner. He never left my side since I saw him today for the 1st time in 2 months. We only have 2 days left together though. Then it's another year and 10 months he's going to be away. Two months killed me. I can't even think about what more than a year would do to me.

Alex and Carmen were over with me and Austin. We watched Marley and me, The Heat, Anchorman 1&2, and Bad Grandpa. Alex's mom and Austin's mom decided to go "party" with some friends at a casino. So we pretty much had the whole house to ourselves and Michelle wouldn't be home until tomorrow afternoon.

"Is anyone else hungry?" I asked as my stomach started to sound like a dying whale. "I am" They all said at the same time. "Can we go to taco bell or somethin?" I asked. They all nodded in agreement and we started walking down the road.

"You guys do realize that it's 1:30 in the morning right?" giggled Austin. "What's your point?" I said. He shrugged his shoulders and held my hand. The rest of the way there, his fingers were intertwined in mine. When we reached taco bell, Alex opened the door for us and walked in.

We ordered 2 Dorito tacos for each, 2 soft tacos for each, and a Baja Blast for each. The person taking our orders seemed really rude. "Aren't you kids supposed to be in bed?" she said in a snotty tone. "Who said we even have a bed to sleep in?" I said trying to act serious. Austin couldn't handle that I guess, he thought it was too funny so he walked into the bathroom. I could tell he was trying not to laugh to hard because he covered his mouth with the collar of his shirt.

The lady just stood there looking sorry for us. "Made you feel pretty bad huh?" I giggled. She then threw us our food (and I mean threw it at us) we walked out the door and headed home. I rode on Austin's back and Carmen rode on Alex's back.

It took a while to get back home because we had to walk up a huge hill.

I felt that someone was following us though. "Ummm, Austin?" "Yea?" "I think someone is following us." He let me off his back and turned around to see that someone was following us.

Derek

"Well, look who it is! The bitch and her faggots" Derek said with an evil grin on his face. Alex let Carmen off his back and the boys stepped in front of us girls. "OH, you think your going to protect your little girlies here?" Derek said. I noticed that Austin started clenching his fists. I walked closer to Austin and held his hand. "Steph, Carmen, go home okay?" Austin said. There was no way that I wanted to stay there. I didn't want the boys to get hurt either.

***Austin's POV***

"Steph, Carmen, go home okay?" I said. The last thing I wanted was for Steph to get hurt. Derek kept running his mouth, trying to act tuff. It wasn't fazing me one bit, until I noticed a bulge in his shirt. "Oh, you lookin at this?"  he said as he quickly pulled out a gun pointing it at us Alex and I. We put our hands up, I didn't want to die!!!

"If you don't want to get hurt, then let me have my sister, for one night" he said as he stepped closer. He grabbed my shirt by the collar as he said that. I grabbed his right wrist that the gun was in, moved it out of the way, and pushed him down the hill. The gun fell down the drain and Alex and I started sprinting home.

Almost all the way home, we spotted the girls. We caught up to them. As I ran past Steph, I picked her up and continued sprinting home. Alex and Carmen followed closely behind.
